This is the most economical, best quality maca powder product on the market. I used to work in health food stores and everyone loved this product. Nice to see it on Amazon as I can't get to those kind of shops these days.

Going through perimenopause causes a lot of issues and taking this seems to make my periods come on time, less or no night sweats (taking Melatonin 3 mg every night also) and overall better well being. I actually had a illness and stopped taking it because of being sick at my stomach, well period was 12 days late. I started taking it again and period finally came. I would say it works. I was taking only the red maca, decided to try the black/red combo. Only complaint is smaller package.

The flavor isn't bad when I mixed into a smoothie. I've tried it I'm juice and didn't like it. So smoothie it is. It definitely seems to provide energy for both men and women. I haven't been consistent enough to notice if it helped with other things. Priced high for what's inside the pouch. I may try other brands.

I only just started using this, so I’ll update my review later with results. In the meantime I wanted to comment on actual use. First of all, to those complaining about not getting 50 servings, the serving size as indicated on the packet is 3g, which is 1/2 tsp (not 1 1/2 heaping tsp as another reviewer commented). 3g x 50 servings is 150g, which is the package size. So no issues there. Regarding taste, it definitely has a noticeable flavor. I’m not sure yet what I’d compare it to but I wouldn’t call it unpleasant. It is something I’d want to blend into the background of whatever I mix it with, however. Consistency-wise, it’s a fine powder that mixes well but does add a slight grainy texture. Depending on what you’re mixing it with, you may not even notice. I look forward to feeling the results, especially based on other reviews.

I read a lot about maca. There are a lot of different strains, as well as gelatinized vs raw. After doing a lot of research, this form seems to be amongst the best for my goals of libido enhancement, and has a fair price.

Noticed cystic acne shortly after I started using this product. I won’t be purchasing again.

I've been using Maca for around 10 years now. I've tried various blends and types and this one works best for me. Mainly black Maca, this is great for body building as it is an anabolic adaptogen and not only a plant but also a food. With many compounds such as macamides and macaenes, it serves various purposes that suit my needs. This is one of the more potent types. I use 80-100 mg which is sufficient for me. I cycle this 5-2 or 3-1 for a month and take a week or two off. It can be very stimulating and cause insomnia or even anxiety when overdone. Listen to your body. Enjoy this great superfood!
