I was looking for a healthy alternative to a "pick me up" instead of extra caffeine etc. I suffer with hypothyroidism and feeling tired and sluggish is just part of the symptoms that I just find very difficult to deal with. I was turned onto this product by WellnessMama.com after reading her articles/blogs on fixing your hormones and supplementing your diet wisely. Hindsights 20/20 I would have just ordered directly from The Maca Team website (no offense to Amazon at all), it's just a better way to help them out (kind of like buying locally). Outside of the taste, which is what it is, this is a great product and is really doing a great job with giving me a mental and physical push that I need to help get through my day. More focus and energy, that is exactly what I was looking for and I found it with maca root powder. The information that comes with the product and the info found on The Maca Team website says that it can take up to 4-6 weeks for you to any diffrence, I noticed the difference within the first two days. Thank you Maca Team for all of your hard work! This is definitely a product that I will continue to order!

I've been eating maca now for about 3 years and have tried a variety of packagers and products during that time. Overall, I go through about one package per month, consumed almost entirely in Vitamix smoothies and as an additive to Greek yogurt.As with all the products from Maca Team, I've found this product to be top shelf stuff and worth continued buying. It is always fresh, very well packaged, well ground, and it is well flavored. I've well tolerated every produce I've received from them and that includes this one, their Yellow Maca.As for how it has affected my health, since adding it to the diet my overall energy level has improved dramatically. There have been a few times that I've gone extended periods of time without and I noticed far more lethargy no matter what I did. Getting back on maca provided a better sense of well-being and health and a stronger and more lively libido.I won't lie and say that I don't wish it was cheaper, but you're going to pay for what works, and it is more than a fair price for the product and compared to what else is out there. I've come to trust this company to provide good products, and they haven't let me down yet.

I've only been taking this organic gelatinized maca for a few days, but already I can tell it is really contributing to my sense of well-being and calm energy. I am presently working through a thorough parasite cleanse and therefore my diet is more limited (blood glucose needs to remain quite low!) and chose this maca due to the fact that most of its starches have been removed. Also, like others have mentioned, I'd read that raw maca is really not the most digestible thing for humans, and traditionally maca has always been eaten cooked. That being said, I mix a spoonful of this maca powder in water with a spoonful of my preferred green superfood powder (and sometimes some hemp protein powder). Can you say delicious? And it's all good for me! I can tell the maca is really giving my body a nutritional boost and, although as yet I cannot comment on its purported hormone-regulating properties, I would highly recommend it to anyone who asked after it as a whole food supplement. Pity it's not available for Amazon Prime! Otherwise I'd have it shipped to me every month.

I use it daily, mixed in my protein shake. Chocolate Whey, almond milk, and sometimes PB powder as well. Simple. It has that turnip kind of taste people refer to..it's fine. I tried it in a few different drinks, in juice, in water...but the chocolate protein drink, with almond milk, tasted the best. ( I'm sure coconut, soy, cashew, regular milk will be good too. I'm watching the calorie content here) And I need to get it quick. I don't have time or desire to get into all the veggies in a blender 'smoothie' bit. Started with 2 tsp, then up to 3 tsp. It made me s bit gassy, so I went back to 2 tsp as per instruction. I don't really feel like it made much difference in energy. My main reason was to help with menopausal symptoms like the hot flashes. But, unfortunately it didn't help them in the least. I plan to use up the bag, and then decide if I want to continue. At this point. .the answer is no.

Maca has helped me in the past...really good results with regards to hormone balance. I cycled on and off maca so my body wouldn't develop resistance to it, but when I started using it again, I started getting severe intestinal pain, gas, and bloating. I did a little research and found that maca in the raw is not very digestible for some people, and that not even the South American people, who have been using Maca for years, use it in the raw. They use cooked/gelatinized maca, as it is better digested and utilized by the body. I bought gelatinized maca for the higher digestibility factor, but to my disappointment I was just as gassy with this gelatinized version.

I bought this product for fertility and for that I give it five stars. I used it throughout my IVF cycle and despite the hormones I was taking, I stayed even keeled and also became pregnant with our first transfer. Have continued it throughout my pregnancy and have felt calm and had energy, no morning sickness. Most of the reviewers seem to like the taste- I strongly disagree. The only way I can stomach it is take it with a chocolate protein shake. It also really does not dissolve in milk or water at all. It's really clumpy. I just close my eyes and gulp it down and wash the taste away with something else.

Good product. Taste is fine when mixed with milk or a smoothie and a little sweetener (I use almond milk and stevia). It does not mix well when stirred with a spoon, so I use a small blender (Hamilton Beach 51101B Personal Blender) for mixing.A follow-up email from the vendor advises that the product may be more effective when mixed with milk only, rather than using it mixed in a smoothie with a lot of other ingredients. I have found it to be more beneficial as an aid to vitality when used this way.

This product does what it says gives you energy and it balances out your hormones especially if you're going through your menopause you feel better within yourself
