Once a skeptic, now a convert
I adore this bag. I'd had my eye on a RedOxx bag for years, particularly as my business travel had increased and my kids are not yet old enough to be helpful with their roll-boards. I was out of hands, and getting heavier and heavier bags for short trips. I was very skeptical that a $50 bag could hold up (and hold everything). This is bag is super light. On a recent trip, it held: 4x suits in a garment folder, 8x dress shirts in a large packing cube, 6x underwear and socks in a medium packing cube, 6 ties in the large pocket, toiletries, and 8 passports and boarding passes. It was heavy, but completely manageable. The large, heavy-duty zippers helped close everything in and the straps compressed everything nicely. I had no problems putting this in any bins on narrow-body aircraft; it'd probably fit on its side, too, if room is tight.I really love the pockets, with the outermost a perfect size for passports and boarding passes, and the larger pocket having a totally sensible sub-pocketing system. The bag holds a ton more than it looks, and fits packing cubes especially well. A great one-bag solution, it sits nicely on the shoulders even when fully weighed down.A few quibbles: It'd be nice to not have a big green logo on my back, it'd be great if this had an easy way to slide on the handle of a rolled suitcase. Both are manageable. You have to be careful, because it does jut out further on your back than you think; if you're turning around in the economy cabin, make sure people's heads are out of the way! Bottom line: great bag, especially for the money, that has become my go-to carry on and easily holds a week of clothing.

Light, durable and great value
At first blush, the Cabin Max Metz seemed to me to be flimsy, but its light construction appears to be durable. The front zippered pouch is great for transferring keys, phone, wallet from pockets to get through airport security. The middle zippered section is large enough to accommodate a slim laptop computer, which is part of my strategy for traveling light. The large zippered section is not partitioned, but accommodates enough clothing for a few days of travel. It appears you could stuff it pretty full, if desired. I prefer to keep it to dimensions suitable for fitting under the seats of even smaller commercial jets. And it is very serviceable for hiking about town. During a recent trip to Washington DC where I was presented with a book and several reports, I carried this increased load in my Cabin Max on a four mile stroll up and down Pennsylvania Avenue with remarkable comfort. I scrutinized several options for light traveling before choosing the Cabin Max. I am a fan of E-bags, but this product appears to be even better value than the E-bag version of an air travel back pack from my perspective.

Perfect for travel: light-weight, easily identifiable, roomy, and very comfortable to wear.
After reading almost every review of light-weight but sturdy backpacks, I purchased this Cabin Max bag to use as my second piece of luggage (a carry on) for an extended European vacation. To my delight, it was perfect (from Icelandicair flights – and their stringent dimension rules – to rail travel, where it sat either at my feet or in the overhead). Carried a lot of goods (including an iPad, my underwear and socks in a cube, a Pack-It-Flat toiletry and jewelry bag, reading material and maps, travel docs and files, a cube with my various chargers, adapters and small cameras, a woolen hat, a rain jacket or my European fleece jacket and a big scarf, a folded-up day bag, an umbrella, ballet flats, and a complete change of clothing). Once on my shoulders, I could pretty much forget I was wearing it, which was the best surprise. For most walking-around sightseeing, I usually either wore my money belt or a light-weight day bag, but this backpack was just fine all day when I needed more storage space. No outside pockets for liquids, etc., but that was OK with me. This bag stood up to all kinds of handling, was attractive, and did the job it was made for. It will be with my on many more flights. Highly recommended.

Great bag for travel
This backpack arrived on time but I was working in another town and had it delivered to my permanent residence. When I returned home I opened the package and found that one of the parachute clips on the compression straps had been crushed and was broken. Unfortunately I had missed the return deadline, but I am a crafty gal so I was able to replace the clip by myself.I used this backpack when I went to London and it held up beautifully. The wide straps keep the weight of the bag from cutting into your shoulders. I was able to keep my bag on in public transport without any problems - really it just behaves like a regular backpack except it can fit everything you need for a week or maybe two if you're a good packer. I don't like that the "cabin max" logo is really large. It says cabin max and has an airplane on the front so it definitely looks like a travel backpack. It fits easily in the upper compartment above your seat for carry-on in an airplane and I didn't have any trouble going through security with it.I did notice that several other travelers on my airplane had the same backpack. I would definitely buy a luggage tag for this bag so you don't get it mixed up with anyone else's bag.

Great for travel
I originally purchased this bag for a trip to Europe. A backpack was preferred due to cobblestone streets. This is now my PRIMARY TRAVEL BAG whenever I fly as I prefer to carry on only. The size is perfect for all airlines, it’s malleable and has held up over 3 years of travel. I recommend this bag to everyone!

Highly recommend
Took all through europe and it was no problem on internal flights and trains. Super light, but strong and the compression straps help. Held 3 weeks of clothes easy.

Excellent travel pack
Bought this for our 3 week trip to Europe. I used it as a carry-on bag and had no problems on any of our flights (including Ryanair). Excellent when you combine it with the 4 pack of packing cubes. I use it on every trip now.All it's missing is a chest strap.

Great for Backpacking
Is as described. You should purchase packing cubes (separately) for organization.
