Worth the cost
I needed to rebuild my deck and had always used lag bolts. I was reading on how these could help save time, look nicer and are stronger. Worth the cost in my point of view.

Perfect for pole barn
I'm using these to attach horizontal 2x6 and 2x8 to 4x6 posts to build an animal run-in shed. It's the perfect product for my application.

Saved the day
I had just purchased a box of these before a tornado hit our area. Luckily, the storm only removed the roof from our 80+ year old smokehouse. It was a scramble to find good solid wood to rebuild the frame of the smokehouse, but once located these screws did a great job of putting it all back together. Despite the abuse (Dewald cordless drill on max torque), I only managed to snap the head off one of the screws.Edit: Updated to 5 stars. I used another box of these to install Craftsman cabinets in my garage & they really worked well.

These are amazing!! I wanted them, mainly for looks on a bunk bed I just build my son.. but I ended up using them for the entire build. They are strong and durable and do not strip.

Good screws, not really "used"
Great Simpson screws!I bought the "used" option. Of course, I didn't think that the screws themselves had been used, and there's no indication of that.OTOH, they are to be driven by a T40 bit, which was missing from the opened box.I think I can scare up a T40 bit, but it's a little bit (pun intended) of an inclined-plane-wrapped-around-a-cylinder.Still, a good buy of excellent screws.(Wonder if the censorbot will clear that!)

Amazingly easy to drive
Used these with STN22-8 washers, and they are crazy-easy to drive - they seem like the just slide into beams and posts, unlike typical lag screws. No splitting in the lumber being fastened, and no pre-drilling required.
