GREAT!
This was widely used in the 60's and 70's in laundry soaps. Unfortunatly it is bad for the envirement, leaving suds in water ways so it was banned for wide use. Although, in limited use, this stuff works. I work in printing and it's hard get my clothes clean but now they are. Whites are whiter without bleach. Also, it works for baked on grease. I boiled some with water in my frying pans and they came out CLEAN. This is also used for cleaning walls before painting.

Some really really good stuff!
Please note, that although the product is very good, the bag that it comes in is not strong enough for shipment. The two bags I ordered in two different shipments both leaked. This stuff is an amazing cleaner. I kid you not. It puts everything else to shame. It comes in a powder that you mix with hot water and use a spray bottle. I have never seenanything more effective. It cuts through just about anything, layers of tobacco tar, grime, you name it. It is not expensive either. From what I read, the next effective cleaner below itis ammonia.

This did not dissolve in water and acratches what i am trying to clean!
I just received this TSP <today. I tried to dissolve it in water. I tried cleaning a plastic outdoor chair and it succeeded in scratching the surface i tried to clean. I scrubbed hard because it was not cleaning it. I read in the description the contents of the bag contains a powder. This was not a powder it was very gritty. More gritty than course sand. I remember my mother using products that were primarily tsp and they could clean any surface with out scratching. Did I receive a defective product?

Great for walls!
My fireplace has stained my walls over time, and regular cleaning products weren’t doing the trick. This stuff is great! I used 1/4 cup of the trisodium phosphate, dissolved in 1 gallon of warm water. Barely have to use any elbow grease! Solution does all the work! And now my walls are sparkling.

The king of all cleaners
This is an excellent degreaser, and soil remover. I use the strong mixture as stated on the package, heated to about 140°F, and use it to clean cruddy motorcycle parts before I refinish them. It also removes dirt, but any dirt it doesn't dissolve can be easily brushed off. It even loosens most old gaskets and case sealants. The only other thing I know of that can remove case sealant is paint stripper and fuel injector cleaner, which is nasty stuff. In addition, in low concentrations TSP makes a great flash rust inhibitor for steel and even cast iron, which isn't easy to keep from flash rusting. At higher temps I have found that tsp will darken some, but not all, aluminum parts. However, it seems to be just a thin film that readily wipes off. I will be reordering as needed.

My Clothes are Finally Clean & they smell GREAT!
I have a Front Loader washing machine and while I love it - I've been plagued with the dark clothes never smelling as fresh as I would like them to since I've bought it. I've tried EVERYTHING! I never close the door between washes, I switched to Charlies Soap, you name it, I've tried it. I read about this and thought I'd give it a shot. From the VERY FIRST wash I was simply amazed. The dark clothes came out smelling clean for the first time and they looked brighter. And of course my whites were whiter. It's enough that I almost want to buy a bag for everyone in my family and send them one so they can experience it - it's that good.I bought the Sunnyside brand TSP over the Savogran TSP based on the first review posted where they compared the ingredients. I'm pretty sure they are right since I didn't have to use much at all. If you try to Google using TSP in your Dishwasher or Washing Machine and they start talking about using 1/4 cup - I don't think they are talking about using Sunnyside brand TSP! So you are actually saving money buying the Sunnyside brand. I just use a little scoop that I had - I think it is about a tablespoon.

Also great for greasy stuck on pots and pans that I ...
I originally bought this for prepping my kitchen cupboards prior to painting. But, after reading all the rave reviews on its other cleaning uses I decided to try it for other things. I throw a heaping tsp in with my dishwasher pod and the dishes are so much cleaner and spot free. I also use it in my laundry now and the clothes are so much softer. No more fabric softener or even dryer sheets. Also great for greasy stuck on pots and pans that I can't put in the dishwasher. I really haven't noticed if my clothes are any cleaner, but I don't pretreat stains anymore and everything comes out great. My mom uses it too and she has noticed that TSP takes the "man" smell out of my stepdad's clothes! All in all, I'm very happy with this product and will keep using and buying it. Next on the list is my cupboards finally!

Best there is for laundry and dishes. :P
I use this for laundry and dishes. It works.I use this and a cheap powder detergent (Bulk Foca etc) for laundry, and this plus a little dishwashing soap (Palmolive) for the dishwasher.I add about 1 tablespoon to the dishwasher, half in the prerinse and 1/2 in the regular wash cup. I use about 1/4 cup to laundry, unless I am hungry asking with bleach, in which case it isn’t needed.Cost is actually less than buying premium detergents, and it works better!Makes a huge difference that other cleaning agents can’t compare to.This used to be added to dishwashing machine detergents and laundry detergents but was removed because it caused duckweed overgrowth in ponds. Never mind that the household amounts don’t compare to industrial amounts used anyway. It is not illegal to use in laundry or for dishwashing, it is just illegal for it to be labeled for such reasons.I paid $14 for 4 pounds and it isn’t cheaper at my local hardware stores.
