Simple, plug it in and your good to go( once you out the supplied battery in the remote. No bluetooth bs, just plug and go which is a refreshing change. good for limited access sockets behind the tv, mines for the fan in the bedroom, saves me getting out of bed to switch it on

This adapter provided a very convenient solution for a hard to reach socket which needed to be switched on and off at least daily. Plug in, battery in the remote and ready to go. Now a simple remote in easy reach ......that is until the remote goes wandering like all the other remote controls !!

The device works perfectly. The remote paired up and controls the outlet perfectly. The remote's buttons are large and easily visible for anyone with eyesight issues.the styling is quite old-fashioned though. The remote is overly chunky with big grey oval buttons with an old-fashioned font on them. It does look like something you'd get from Poundland or Wilko.I'd say that it's perfect for old people who don't want to have to bend down to turn the TV or a lamp on or off. For a more modern setting, the remote looks really out of place. If it were flatter and black or white, instead of the light cream, it'd look more suitable for a modern home.I do find that the remote's range isn't as long as I'd hoped. I reckon I can get about 5m from the device before I start to have connection issues. So if you are in the garden and want to control something inside the house, you may have issues. For inside, though, it works great.
