Just Unboxed...looks good.
I had a controller stick go drifting on my ESWAP X Pro controller. Fortunately, I had bought the controller with stick replacement in mind as I know actuator parts in the original controller wear down over time. My initial test using HardwareTester. com website showed no drift whatsoever with the new control module. I believe it will last longer than the stock control sticks because of the change to H.E.A.R.T. magnetic sensor acutators. That means the actuator parts should not rub together which leads to wear over time.Otherwise, I am pleased with the replacement of foam cushioning with cardboard inserts. The packaging is near entirely recyclable, just a couple of plastic stickers and a plastic hang tag. The cardboard insert has perforated finger tabs to make it easier to remove the control module which is a nice touch.Post-unboxing: I have been using the controller for three days now. The new control modules are working well so far. I will update this review if anything changes.

My new go-to controller for PC gaming
This Thrustmaster controller is my first really high-end controller - and I think it is great. I am used to the regular Xbox wireless controllers, however I have gone through so many of them that I ended up getting cheap wired controllers for gaming. This Thrustmaster controller is a high-end wired controller.I use this controller primarily for PC gaming. For console gaming I prefer a wireless controller but, with my PC, I prefer a controller connected via USB - so the USB connection is a plus for me.The controller feels very solid. It has a nice weight (322g/0.71lb) to it and it appears to be well made. The controller t is not huge, but it is on the larger side. I have larger hands and it is very comfortable for me to hold. I like the size of this controller a lot.The side hand grips feel nice and the buttons, thumb sticks, and triggers are all responsive and feel great. The modularity and hot swap replacement capability is unique and nice to have. I don't game competitively and I only use standard controller functions, so I am not concerned about the extra buttons and functionality this controller offers.I have several Xbox-style controllers, none of which I really like because they are cheap. Xbox-style controllers, for whatever reason, frequently break for me (from use, not abuse). I find that cheap wired controllers last just as long as the official core controllers. This Thrustmaster controller is a nice controller and I hope it lasts a long time. The controller isn't cheap, but if it ends up lasting a long time then it's worth it to me.Right now, the Thrustmaster ESWAP X 2 PRO is holding up great and it is my favorite controller.

Cool Concept
I really like the concept of this controller and its customization to fit your needs.Software:I only tested it on PC. The Thrustmaster PC app offers quite a bit of customization for the various buttons and controls. The bottom media controls don’t appear to do anything on Windows and can’t be mapped. You can customize the stick dead zones, trigger ranges, and all button functions.Hardware:The controller feels premium in the hand and is fairly lightweight. The sticks are large and comfy, giving you very good control and can be swapped around for either an Xbox or PlayStation layout. The triggers have a quick trigger mode with a physical stop. The D-Pad is large and easy to pivot with a clicky feel, but it has a bit too much travel for platformers. The buttons are also clicky microswitch buttons which aren’t my favorite for most game titles, but they do feel nice and are easy to press. The back buttons are actually some of my favorite back button designs, being in the perfect place, making them easy to hit intentionally and avoid accidentally. It definitely feels like a premium controller designed for modern FPS game titles.Swappability:The biggest feature of this controller is the ability to swap things around. The D-Pad and both sticks can be moved to any of the three positions to meet your needs. They also sell additional modules for different color designs and styles, other functions, or a racing wheel stick. The modules are easy to remove, only being held in place with large strong magnets. Once inserted, they feel like part of the controller and don’t wiggle around at all. This is all great except I found that once I got a setup that was comfortable, I never really saw the point of moving them around again. I think most people will find the layout that works and not touch it again, making it feel kinda gimmicky.Overall, it’s a premium controller for Xbox and PC with additional customization and very good controls. It does feel like in 2024, not making it wireless with a battery is a shortcut, with the only benefit being that it’s a bit lighter. I think for competitive players sitting at a desk, it’s an awesome controller. If you are planning to sit on a couch and TV, however, I’d probably go for an Xbox Elite Controller for the wireless capability and similar customization.
