I bought one of these to make a door harder to push open for one of my cats. I'm not a good DIYer and couldn't work out what the extra bar was from the leaflet, which is written in Chinglish. Then I realised you screw it into the hinge temporarily to pull the hinge around if you want to increase the pressure (hope that makes sense) After putting on, I wasn't 100% sure it would be strong enough to stop my cat pushing the door, so I bought a second one. The only thing I would advise is to drill a hole smaller that the screw size,, as the screws are quite soft metal. The thread one of them wore smooth trying to screw it in, so I will need pliers to get it out and find another screw to use. When I put the 2nd pne on, the pre-drilling helped the screws to tighten easily. Also, I don't think these are hydraulic, they are just sprung, which is fine for the price as they do the job.

It seems quite sturdy, will have to see how it holds up. It keeps the door closed well enough. The wheels are black rubber, not white nylon as advertised. The metal plate for the runner should be double the length.

Works as it should to close door on its own. Plenty of adjustment for heavier doors.

This hydraulic spring door closer works well for keeping doors shut automatically. It’s fairly easy to install and does the job as expected. The adjustable tension is a nice feature, though it may take some tweaking to get it just right. The build quality feels decent for the price. Overall, a good budget option for interior doors.

this door closer is just average build quality and is let down for me personally by the minimal unintelligible instructions. you can muddle your way through and figure things out but it's not hard to provide basic instructions for a product like this so it's discouraging that they haven't.product details on this page state it's for doors up to 10kg but the instructions say it's for 20kg-40kg doors. that's quite a large difference.the wheels on the arm are also black plastic and not white so may mark your doors with enough use. another needless oversight.
