Doesn't work
I placed this under the hood of a car I left stored for a couple of months. I left it in the dual mode on level 2 (because level 3 is very audible to people). I came back to find the car battery terminal cover slightly chewed on and rat turds around.Note that one of speakers was facing the battery and this was a small space.For this reason, I say this product is ineffective on rats. I wouldn't trust it to protect an area you don't want rats in. Not sure if it is equally ineffective on mice, but why wouldn't it be?

The only one that has worked for us.
It got rid of our mice in the walls- put one under the house - it varies the sound and frequency patterns. It has annoying flashing lights too.So far I highly recommend it.

Not effective
While you can’t really hear anything, if you walk into the space where it’s used, you immediately start feeling nauseous. Doesn’t seem to bother the mice though. :(

Bye-bye mices.
If you don't see rodents, that's a good sign right? My husband was having some mice problems at his work from the break room. I said I'd try to find one of those electric plug in deterrents that were more humane than traps. They were getting into trash cans that didn't happen to get emptied at night. Since he's plugged this in... there hasn't been anymore sightings or droppings. So hopefully this is doing its job. Small and easy to work. He installed it in just a few seconds near the target area.

Considerably louder than we had hoped.
If you are in the same room as this device, you'll eventually go mad as the high pitched buzzing in either mode is audible enough that you cant ignore it.I dont love that we can hear it, even though the audible range is supposed to vary (so rodents dont get used to it). The speakers can be aimed away from you a bit to help you not hear the sounds, but to be honest: unless this is in a completely different room from you, you'll almost certainly hear it.We have only had it up for a week, and while we haven't seen any mice, its hard to attribute it to any one reason.My most sincere hope is that this will have long-term benefits and keep the mice away for good before it drives me insane!

Highly Effective Rodent Deterrent!
The media could not be loaded. This ultrasonic rodent deterrent gives me such peace of mind. I can't stand for a mouse to come in to my home and with this ultrasonic repeller they stay away from me and my family. Super easy to use.. just plug it in and it starts working immediately. It has four different modes that allow for customizable settings based on the level of infestation. Since I started using this device, I’ve noticed a significant decrease in rodent activity in and near my home. The ultrasonic waves are undetectable to humans and pets, which is a huge plus. It’s a safe, humane, and effective solution for anyone dealing with rodent issues.

Can hear sound coming from the units
Ordered 3 units one did not work at all. Would not power on the other 2 have sound emitting from them that bothers my ears so I know it will bother my pooch…. I live next to a house that has been abandoned for a few years and the owners decided to do something with it and started construction…. Got these as a precaution because I dont want any issues…. Guess I gotta go back to the drawing boards. For my need the cost worked great but cant deal with the sound and the defective unit….
