Installation slow-up's were my old fan's problems, not this unit's.
Actually this was NOT fast and easy to install but BECAUSE?? my fan, which might date back to 2005 (in a 5th wheel) had 2 of the ((2x4) + (4)) screws frozen, to first UNDO to get to the point of installing it--until I worked around it. (One was 1 of the 2 holding 1 of the 4 fan blades--I considered heat? from a soldering iron or lighter / penetrating oil; but then GOT SMART and undid the 1 fan blade screw that DID unscrew and the mechanical advantage, of leveraging the base of that blade however slightly, loosened the monster-frozen screw.(The other hard screws were hard to get to 'cause of a nearby ceiling AC unit creating tight space--used a smallest-size rachet holder with Phillips head insert (which I'd had to get for a vintage Mercedes with a similar "impossible to reach" screw location).Sooo, after determining all screws would come out, proceeded. I hate the idea of dying by 110 volts due to my stupidity so I proceeded slowly (I OWN a line voltage non touching indicator but damnit couldn't find it after recent move).THE UNIT's labeling is terrific !!! Not only color but words actually say "to fan" etc. as a nice double assurance that connections are correct.Recommend that you might see YouTube ways to make nut/cap connections as good as possible--basically twisting entire wire set to add security to your connections.I'm ...PUMPED... how this went eventually. ONLY question for awhile was the "TIMER"--I'd yet to see it turn off after an HOUR etc. It feels / I now observe after a day or so that the systems "line up" / it "tunes in" re the three speeds and the timer which works perfectly...that is, I had to adjust the pull chain speed setting...and the timer ...well, play with it--you press, say, 1 hour, it does nothing...then press "low" for example, and presto whammo ... turns off perfectly logically.NOTE: I read the 1, 2-star's and with mine it "felt" like it took a little while for remote to ... lock in. That is, I have a chain pull 3 speed set up AND? the FIRST TIME out of the gate I used this, sure enough the symptoms of others happened--it was a weird / speed was exceptionally slow rotation / it was off / med. and high was off. BUT THEN, I re-pulled the pull-chain setting. That did the trick with the remote's speed buttons WORKING PERFECTLY, got the old basic speed of fan back just fine. FOR TEN BUCKS? ???? ARE YOU KIDDING ???? This is great.SOME challenging fitting the UNIT into the shielding container, overhead; mine did, suspended against ceiling, held up by metal band of frame.Good luck everyone. Again, for the price ?? Fabulous.

Easy and Simple Installation
Just finished installing the ceiling fan remote control module.Pretty simple just follow the markings on the module wires and connect everyone but the white antenna wire,My ceiling fan is a Hunter outdoor fan on our patio. The fan mounting bracket has a space at the top to slide the module in with ample room to re-install the bonnet.Works as advertised with one plus. My fan is fed from a GFCI elecric outlet in the kitchen.Sometimes when the fan was turned off with the chain connected to the fan's pull switch the outlet would trip.I suspected it was probably the small electrical arc created when the switch contacts separated. Now that the fan on/off is through the electronic module no arc is created.I was hoping this would solve the GFCI nuisance tripping and it did.I also like the remote's 4 separate buttons for timer settings that shut off the fan after 1, 2, 4, or 8 Hours. There is one thing I don't like about the fan light operation; if the light is turned off by the remote control it comes on if your fan is on a wall switch when you switch it on the light comes on and you can use the the remote turn it off. This happens each time power is supplied through the wall switch. The instructions that accompanied the product are worded strangely. The instructions that are on this page are much clearer so I would advise you review them first.I would recommend this product.

Works as expected but it has a beep every time you change a setting like speed, light or on/off.
Working great so far. Timer worked the time i tested it. Medium speed is perfect for me to keep the air circulating without being too much. Only negative is the receiver in the fan canopy beeps pretty loud every time you push a button on the remote.

Fan is working again
I replaced my non-working remote and my fan is working again.

It works, but has design flaws that make installation an absolute pain and a very distracting sound
UPDATE: after spending a second day taking apart the fan a second time and readjusting the remote control box and putting the fan back together again, the noise issue is still present of the remote control box rubbing against something within the housing. It’s incredibly distracting and I tried to ignore it but it’s so obnoxious I’ll now be taking apart the fan A THIRD TIME to remove the remote control and then putting the fan back together again and just using the pull chain (or perhaps, a different remote control box from a competitor that is smaller in size and doesn’t have the issue of rubbing against internal housing.I definitely don’t recommend this unit. Find a smaller device and save yourself from the hassle I experienced.(Previous review)It took an entire day trying to get this thing installed, and part of the issue is how short the wires are. Seriously, the company couldn't make the wires two or three inches longer? how much would that have cost per unit? Two cents?Similarly, the exterior plastic housing of the unit itself could have been reduced in size, but being the size that it is, it barely wedges into the ceiling fan's housing (and because of how short the wires are, it limits where it can be fit in the ceiling fan's housing), so once everything was put back together and the fan was turned on, I heard a "click click click" that would speed up according to the speed of the fan, indicating that the remote control housing was bumping against the motor with each rotation.A few extra inches of wire, and a slightly smaller housing unit for the remote control kit would have allowed me to avoid these issues and probably taken an hour at most, versus an entire day (not including the time it will take once I open the ceiling fan again to see if I can somehow keep the remote control unit from hitting the motor every rotation).Aside from that, the functions on the remote all work well, and the unit is a decent price.
