HP Laptop A Great Buy
Does everything I want it to. Lightweight. Responsive. I was pleasantly surprised at it's capabilities but it's an HP and they produce good hardware. For general use it's excellent.I use it physically in the field everyday. Better than a tablet. Fast enough for what I need which is LIDAR analysis and that takes some processing!Good value for money.Cannot find any find any down sides.

Not disappointed, its a great little machine for basic everyday stuff.
After reading the reviews I was a bit sceptical about buying this laptop. However, for the price and what I want it for (programming fire alarms and basic report writing) it was a risk worth taking.I am not at all disappointed! Its a great little machine. Lightweight, good screen and its fairly nippy with regards performance. Yeah its not for gaming or HD video streaming on multiple windows but if you are realistic with your expectations for a £150 laptop you wont be disappointed. My only recommendation would be to go for the 128GB version as the 64GB soon fills up. However, there is a full size SD card slot and I have added a cheap 128GB card for storage and it works great.Laptop has bluetooth too which is a good feature if you want to add a mouse etc. although the touch pad is fine. Its lightweight and has that HP build feel so its sturdy and has a nice textured finish. I travel the country and wanted a small, lightweight model to fit in a small bag and it ticks the box.Windows 11 seems to run fine with minimal lag. I have turned off the "s" mode as I don't want to be locked to using just Microsoft apps.It has two full sized USB ports and a C type too. There's an HDMI connector too which I use with my projector and that works great. All in all, great little laptop for basic stuff.

Good value as long as you’re willing to compromise on speed and functionality
I wanted to get a basic laptop to be able to do personal stuff on in preference to using my work laptop or the steam-driven 2016-vintage tower unit that I was still harbouring in a cupboard in my home office.Although the laptop is absolutely fine for basic use (and has the added bonus of a 12-month free subscription to M365), it’s not as quick as a more expensive model due to the use of a basic Celeron processors - plus there are a couple of serious compromises that you ought to know about if you’re hoping to get a laptop that you can chop and change with a more powerful, professional one.The first is the memory - it only has a 128gb SSD, and while I thought that would be ample, it doesn’t come close to saving all my accumulated photos over the years. I can live with this though, by keeping them on an external hard drive. The second (and more irksome) compromise is that although it has a USB-C port, this doesn’t power the laptop, nor does it recognise the two external monitors that I have plugged into a hub for my work laptop. Whilst I can still use a second monitor with it, by unplugging the HDMI lead for one of my monitors from the hub and into the laptop, and plug the power adapter into the laptop as well, it’s not the smooth swap-out process between my work and personal laptops that I was hoping for.Of course, these are definitely First World Problems and I know that you get what you pay for - I could have had the same functionality with a more expensive model, but I only wanted it for the basics.Nevertheless I did want to write this review so that others would know that if you’re looking for the same ability to switch machines seamlessly, you’ll need to go a little bit higher up the price range.

HP Stream 14" Laptop: Lightweight, stylish and perfect for every day use!
I've been using the HP Stream 14" Laptop since November 2024, and I have to say, it’s a fantastic little device for the price! Right now, I’m actually writing this review on it, and it’s handling everything smoothly. One of the best things about this laptop is how lightweight and compact it is—perfect for carrying around. The battery life is impressive, lasting hours on a single charge, which means I don’t have to stress about finding an outlet during the day.It has a sleek, stylish design that looks great, and despite its budget-friendly price, it doesn’t feel cheap. Performance-wise, it zips along pretty quickly for everyday tasks like web browsing, streaming movies, and working on documents. While it’s not the fastest laptop out there, it works a treat for programs and apps that don’t demand too much memory.Overall, if you’re looking for a budget-friendly laptop that’s portable, reliable, and stylish, the HP Stream 14" is a solid choice. Pretty good value for money!

Budget-friendly portable laptop, great build, its a great choice. Its fabulous value for money.
This laptop is how lightweight and compact it is—perfect for carrying around. The battery life is impressive, lasting several hours on a single charge. It has a sleek, stylish design that looks great, and despite its budget-friendly price, it doesn’t feel cheap at all. Performance-wise, it functions and processes pretty quickly for everyday tasks like web browsing, streaming movies, and working on documents. Like all laptops you do have to spend a little time on setting it all up to go but this was a very easy process as everything was led by the computers prompt. If you’re looking for a budget-friendly laptop that’s portable, reliable, and stylish, the HP Stream 14" is a solid choice. I think its fabulous value for money.
