A useful machine.
It's a solid machine. No lightweight... Not as fast or as powerful as the corded variety, but it fulfills its purpose.Battery operated, fits my needs. Speed control is a good feature. Low speed has very little torque and the grinder is easy to manipulate. It could safely be mounted in a vise and used as a stationary grinder, to sharpen things. It has 6 speeds. I used a tachometer to see what's happening. Diamond cutoff wheel. No-load.Lowest (green light) speed is 3000 RPM. Then 4,000 and then 5? This is weird. Then the red light-speeds... 6, 7 and top speed is 8,000 RPM. On the money. I wonder how they do that. The tachometer is an old optical thing, but it's solid.Everything looks standard. It should fit all your wheels and other accessories, whatever those may be. Sometimes the overseas "metric" factory doesn't get "inches" exactly right. A 1/4" collet is not 6mm. But generally there's no difference.I 3D printed a small handle that can be put in a vise, to hold the grinder. Works good. The M8 bolt is what they used on the factory handle. I have no qualms about using it this way. The battery makes it heavy on the end, so some extra support out there is wise. But for small work held in your hand, this mount is helpful.

Functional
I use a tool like this on rare occasions. So I’m not buying the expensive stuff. This uses DeWalt batteries, I have them for tools I do use often. Very pleased with the product for the price.

Worked Great and uses 20V Dewalt Battery's
The media could not be loaded. I have only used the angle grinder once since receiving it to shorten a few tempered 4" wood screws. As expected it did that job very quickly and yes I know it wasn't much of an endurance test but hopefully soon I'll be able to really put it through it's paces and report back on how well it performed. I absolutely like that it uses DeWalt batteries since we have a few DeWalt tools around the place that are powered by the same 20v battery. The angle grinder also came with a battery and charger which is also a big plus for me.The tool appears to be fairly well made with no visible discrepancies. I also like that the guard can be quickly adjusted by loosening a simple clamp and moving it to the position that's more convenient. It also has multiple spindle speeds to choose from that I have not had before on other angle grinders. I will probably just use the fastest speed for everything but then who knows, it is nice to have that option if I ever need it.Note: I'm editing my review with the following information. When the spindle is turned by hand you will hear some noise which I discovered later turned out to be a built-in brake so the spindle would come to a speedy stop when the power is shut off. I am now changing my review to a full 5 star rating. My sincere apologies to the seller and manufacturer....

Essential Cordless Grinder for Remote Projects
I use 4 1/2" grinders regularly to cut steel tubes and bars, and this brushless cordless model has been a game-changer. While I have several AC grinders, there are times when I’d need to run hundreds of feet of extension cord to reach the work area. This cordless grinder, compatible with my Dewalt 20V batteries, makes those remote projects much simpler. The six variable speeds provide great control for different materials, and it has enough power to handle heavy-duty tasks.Since getting it, I keep it in my truck at all times, so it’s ready whenever I need it. The convenience of not being tied to an outlet is invaluable, and it’s been reliable in every project I’ve used it on. For anyone who does metalwork on the go, this tool is a must-have addition.

Works with DeWalt battery system
I love that this tool works with the DeWalt 20V battery system since I have many of them. However, the battery and charger are a bit questionable. There is no Amp rating on the included battery and it will not charge in official DeWalt chargers (it always shows charged regardless of the battery state). The included charger works, but I would not trust it to charge my actual DeWalt batteries. I know some versions of this do not come with batteries, and that might be for the best. It is larger than the official 5A battery, but weighs about 20% less. So, probably not filled with cells and they use the same shell for different capacities.I like that the grinding shield is movable and the grip can be placed on either side. Nice touch putting the arbor wrench in the handle. It is a light tool, so it may not be great for a bladesmith's shop where grinding is a significant portion of the day, but for weekend warriors - a good entry-level tool.

Good Performance and Affordable
Unless you're a professional who needs a high end grinder, this will fit your needs. I'm not a professional, but I am DIYer that likes to have tools like this one and I am working on a Murphy bed project and I will be using this grinder a lot. For now, I just tested it and I can already tell it will work just fine.Comparing to a wired one I have, the difference in performance is minor and it all make no difference to me, except that is more portable and that was the main reason I ordered it. From my initial experience, I don't believe that I will need a more powerful grinder than this and for the price, especially after the $30 discount at the time of this review, it is certainly a bargain.

Decently built and good power
I like that this angle grinder fits my existing Dewalt 20V batteries. Power seems to be pretty decent although I haven't done any big or major work wit this yet. I don't have any doubts that it will get some light around the house type projects done. Build quality is ok. Not terrible, not great but for the price, it's a great bargain. Glad to have this tool in my arsenal.
