NYX PROFESSIONAL MAKEUP Matte Lipstick - Indie Flick (Bright Coral Red)

This is a very good matte lipstick. The factors I use to determine this are ease of use, true to color, fragrance/taste, texture, and lasting power. First of all, the tube is just like any other lipstick. It was new, sealed, sent to me in a box which was way bigger than I expected. It twists up like any other lipstick. Stays up, goes down like it's supposed to function. Is it true to color? Yes, and no. I think that the lighting of the photo shown here on the product description seems much brighter than it should be. The lipstick is a gorgeous glam color. I think it's just perfect and I love it. But I will say that I checked MANY other pics and swatches prior to purchasing and determined based on blogger opinions whether this would suit my skin color. It works. I love it because it can be natural and everyday as well as glammed up with some serious eye makeup. The lipstick itself is matte so you have to be aware that the texture is going to be slightly thicker than your average glossy or even just regular lipstick. I'm okay with this because it's matte and it needs to stay put. I drink a lot of tea during the day and water from a bottle and it still stayed fairly in place. That was a great plus for me. But I'm also careful about dabbing and not wiping my mouth with a napkin because it's like just removing your lipstick at the end of the day. I would recommend it. This is my all time favorite color lipstick. It's a matte lipstick so it stays on longer. This is s great brand and affordable. I've ordered multiple of these actually ordered one yesterday because I'm about to run out. I always make sure I have extra before the other one comes. Doesn’t make my lips feel tight or dry. Nice formula. Definitely not nude. It’s a bright coral and would look great with a summer tan.

Out of all my lipsticks I reach for this purple the most. It looks beautiful on its own or layered under a gloss. My favorite.

I got Pale Pink. It is matte. It is smooth, it is velvety, it is long-lasting. It is PALE. It is PINK. Definitely giving me Barbie vibes. They don't make colors like this anymore. This is not a color that occurs in nature. I'm pretty sure it glows in the dark. I'm pretty sure it's not even a color, just a ~vibe.~ We are in 2025 and this lipstick was made by aliens in 3025. The world is simply not ready for this lipstick. I LOVE this lipstick

I ordered two different colors: “Whipped Caviar” and “Alabama”. I’m not a fan of Alabama-it just looks too dark for my coloring. I feel it’s much darker than the image suggests online which is why you should probably look up swatches or try them in a store if you don’t want to throw money down the drain. For me it doesn’t matter as the price is so low that trying them out and failing on one isn’t a biggie. So cue in the Whipped Cavier and I’m in love. I have dark hair with a reddish tint to it and that reddish tint makes darker colors sometimes look too unnatural and unattractive. This color really looks somewhat natural and makes my lips look nice and plump and gives them a very healthy look. The color is lighter but not so light that you’re veering into a pink color. It’s just a really pretty dark salmon color. I even mixed a tiny bit of it with the Alabama color and darkened it for nights-but wear the Whipped Cavier for days. It looks lovely.Overall it’s a very good price (much better than in the store!) and it goes on smoothly and looks lovely. It is a bit drying for the matte colors so you may want to use some lip gloss.
