I Can Only Imagine

After seeing so many purely positive reviews of how inspiring this movie was I was quite excited to see it in anticipation of it bringing me into the worship of Jesus and how awesome He is (knowing that it was a Christian movie). However the entire thrust of the movie was totally man-centric, and not at all God-centered. It gave the same kind of inspiration that a secular film would give; something like "Never give up on your dreams! You can do it, just don't give up!" which is totally anti-gospel! The truth is; it's not about YOU, it's about Him. So long as it's about us it's gonna be terrible.Also the mark of success in this story is almost identical to the mark of success in any worldy film about a band or musician making it to the big time; they went triple platnum! Finally! We found our acceptance from the world! It just didn't sit right with me. The band seemed to be more focused on 'making it big' than knowing Jesus or serving the King of kings. So long as your chasing that stuff you'll never be satisfied, and I feel that this movie kind of encourages you "Chase your dreams, go for it!".I am sure the real life story was awesome and God was at the center of this mans tranformation, just this movie did a poor job of relating that to the viewer (for me anyway), it didn't seem He was at all concerned about His relationship with God, more with himself and his career.Anyway, just thought I'd warn any like minded believers, God bless you all!!

Great movie. Get it!

Heard about this film from a relative in USA who said we had to see it as he was so impressedWe bought the film and watched it with our family. It speaks to the heart and is not sloppy in any way - it is the reality of the life and challenges this song writer faced which he expresses so well in the title song

Fantastic film. Best we have seen in a long time. Acting was very good. Emotionally hard to watch at times as certain aspects hit home for me... Really enjoyed it though. No bad language or violence. We need more films like this 😌 please.

I really enjoyed this movie.....it’s biographical and therefore real in many ways. It’s someone’s journey. This song has changed so many lives. It’s a testimony and therefore the Jesus can do the same for you.

What an amazing film! A real tear-jerker but in a good way. A tale of redemption and forgiveness. A tale of faith. Great acting and amazing songs!

True story is heart breaking but with the hope that people do change when they let Jesus get in their lives. Shame the low budget but the acting and lovely music made it better!

A fantastic movie, well acted and brilliantly produced. Moving. Gripping. Emotional. Redemptive. I roller coast from despair to redemption. A must see for all music lovers and anyone who has suffered set backs in life. There is hope. There is a way to survive and succeed in life. If you can only imagine. Loved it!
