Grills are not enamel covered and very heavy. burners seem to burn hotter than expected, so have to use on low much of the time.

The unit was easy enough to install. The instructions are fairly clear and helpful. We find keeping the surfaces clean to be a challenge, but this is likely true with any stainless steel cooktop. Our main complaint is the control knobs. We are careful about not hitting them with cookware etc., but they are already quite scratched. Worse yet the plastic they are composed of has begun breaking down due to the heat. They develop cracks and then slip on the control valve shaft. You may think the gas is off, but it is not which could be dangerous. The knobs should be made out of metal or at least a more durable plastic.

I like the stovetop okay, however, the knobs really are the worst. I have spent too much time trying to get a knob that will fit one that is broken. I don't want plastic and I don't want to pay a ridiculous price for replacing a defective part.

I like the grates better than on my old gas stove top. Burners are putting out much hotter flames, which can be adjusted but major problem is knobs have no indications to go by day after day what setting you are using for eggs, etc. Could not believe it. Planning on determining it and then have bought black fingernail polish and will put fine indicator line to show spot to use for certain items. Have found just move slightly from selected point and it gets much hotter quickly.

Easy to install with a couple trips to the hardware store to get additional parts. Very nice looking and love the heat! BUT, and it's a big BUT... in 6 months, all 4 of the knobs have cracked or broken completely. The first was after only one month of use. Not a lot of force or pressure is needed to turn the burners on and off, so it is not about man-handling the knobs. they are just cheap cheap cheap. I called Frigidaire and they are sending replacement knobs free of charge, but they are the same cheap knobs. Hope the company will do an upgrade if they get enough complaints.

I really like the overall quality of the burners but like my previous burners they aren't the easiest to clean. I bought a stainless steel cleaner and it helps but some stains never fully come out it seems.I do like how powerful the burners are though.
