Accuratic Expandable Watch Winder - Great Design
I recently purchased two of these winders along with the brackets to connect them. Winders arrived quickly, and were nicely packaged for shipment. Winder boxes were exceptional with perfect fitting foam packing to cushion them. Included was a 4.5 VDC, 1000mA AC adapter, a small tube containing WD40 oil and a hex wrench which fits all exposed screws. (The connectors are a bit pricey for plastic, but not a deal-breaker as many can be re-used when expanding your winder system. Of course you end up with a few corners you removed from the winders that you'll probably have no use for.) Assembly of the two winders was a breeze. Connector easily slid into both winders and locks down with a screw in each winder. The LCD control is back-lit for easy viewing, and the Turns/Day and Winding Direction easily set. I checked the two winders on my setting which is 1200 TPD, bi-directional. For the details I'll call the winders "A" and "B". Here's what I found. If you start the winders at 9:00 they will start a winding cycle at the top of every hour; that is, at 10:00, 11:00, etc. they'll start a winding cycle again. For the 1200 TPD setting they both wound for six minutes and twenty-five seconds. The first full 6:25 was in the clockwise direction only. The next winding cycle went counter-clockwise for 6:25 as well. So in the bi-directional setting, you have 12 winding cycles going CW, 12 cycles going CCW in a 24-hour period. Both winders operated VERY quietly and smoothly, and both turned slightly slower in the CCW direction. *** Winder "A" *** CW Cycle had 50.6 turns in 6:25 for a rotational rate of about 7.9 Turns/Minute, 607 CW Turns/Day. CCW Cycle had 50.4 turns in 6:25 for a rotational rate of about 7.9 Turns/Minute, 605 CCW Turns/Day. *** Winder "B" *** CW Cycle had 49.5 turns in 6:25 for a rotational rate of about 7.7 Turns/Minute, 594 CW Turns/Day. CCW Cycle had 48.9 turns in 6:25 for a rotational rate of about 7.6 Turns/Minute, 587 CCW Turns/Day. Note: Winder "B" held a larger watch which may account for the slightly slower rotational speed. WHAT I LIKE - The flexible expansion capability is impressive. The winders have a relatively small footprint so they can go in places where other winders can't. Adding one winder at a time you can just keep making it larger or separate them as needed. And, if one winder breaks, you just replace it. (These are replacing a dual-winder which has one bad turntable.) The LCD control panel is simple yet has all the settings I need. And, the back-lighted readout is a plus. The clear plastic door firmly latches to help minimize dust, and the watch holders held my watches securely and it is padded somewhat. WHAT I'D IMPROVE - The back-lighted display goes out after about 10 seconds if no buttons are pushed. You need to push a button for the control panel to become active. It would be nice to have the LCD display lighted when a winding cycle is actively running. It's not a major issue, just would be a nice touch. Would I recommend these winders? A definite YES!!! I plan on adding a few more over the next few weeks and possibly a backup unit as well. Can't speak on the reliability yet, but they appear to be solid, very well made and extremely quiet when running. At the price they're quite a deal.

So Far. So Good
I have been using this watch winder for almost a week and it appears to be working well. It does not run all of the time set on 650, but I can see that the watch has turned looking through the clear cover and it appears to be keeping good time. When the winder does run, it's very quiet, the main noise being the watch moving on its holder, as the bracelet fits a little loose. The winder casing is fairly large and rather plain looking, which is why I gave it only 4 stars. I chose black to make it as inconspicuous as possible. I'm not sure whether the plastic winder casing would scratch a wood surface, but I added some felt pads on the bottom just to make sure it doesn't. The instruction sheet is quite brief and could stand to be improved. I don't plan to add a second winder, but looking at the enclosed power cord and the connections on the back of the winder, I have no idea how one would connect one winder to another without needing to connect two separate power cords to a wall outlet. There is an "out" terminal on the back of the winder as well as an "in" terminal, but I don't see how the power cord could connect to the "out" terminal and another winder, and the instruction sheet does not mention the "out" terminal at all. The big question, of course, is how long this winder will last, as watch winders are notorious for breaking down. My last one (I don't recall the brand) stopped working after about a year. Hopefully, this one with the Mabuchi motor will last much longer. If so, the price of the winder would appear to be a very good value given the higher price of many competing winders.

Not my favorite watch winder
I have ordered several watch winders and the attraction to this winder was its physical size which allows it to be placed into a relatively small safe! Thats good. The winder seems to function properly but I have had much difficulty in simply pulling out the device you wrap your watch around and simply placing it back in! It is too tight a fit...especially once a watch is loaded on. The front closing plastic cover doesnt shut flush with the box. I just received this one so I will continue to update should I see it is simply "user error". It is all straight forward so I doubt that is the case. I own several other winders - but want this one for physical fitting into safe. Otherwise product looks good and the motion all seems to work fine...so far.

Works but could be improved.
The outside case is plastic and it feels cheap. However, I bought it for function and not form. A couple pros is that it works, it has different RPDs, alternate movements and that it is pretty quiet. Cons is that the pillow the watch sits on is horrible. My CW C60 has arched lug nuts so it does not sit flush on pillow that rotates and the metal grinds on the plastic. I cannot fully tell if it actually spins 650 RPD. So far my watch has not died, but I will keep checking. Overall, it works and it is a vertical winder. It isn't very polished though, probably would aim for a piccolo instead.

Excellent watch winder
I looked at a few of these and the range of price vs quality is vast. This one is excellent. A few people have complained about small wrist size and not fitting correctly in case. Since the watch holder piece is removable it's an easy fix with two rubber bands to hold the smaller watch band and watch in place directly in the center of the case. It worked perfectly. I used the 900 tpd Bidirectional setting and it keeps my self winding watches ready to go with the correct time. Quality motor. I couldn't register it for warranty on the Accuratic website. It didn't accept the serial number. I've contacted Accuratic and I am waiting for an answer.

This Winder is not reliable
Most of the reviews I've read pretty much say the same things, but I've not seen any comments on the units accuracy or usability. My watch requires 1300 TPD bidirectional. Accuratic says the winder makes 8 turns per minute, I measured 7. The winder cycle is one hour. At a setting of 1500 TPD, the winder runs for 8 minutes and is off for 52 minutes. The actual TPD is therefore 1334 not 1500. Likewise at a setting of 1800 TPD the winder runs for 9.5 minutes and is off for 50.5 minutes. At 7 TPM this gives an actual reading of 1596 TPD. This may or may not be an issue depending on the requirements of your particular watch. Of more concern is the device used to hold the watch in the winder. The groves on either side of the hole in the winder for the watch band were much to shallow. My metal watch band is 3 mm thick, much to thick for the groves provided. As a result, when I placed the watch on the watch holder the holder would not got into the winder. I solved the problem by making a watch holder out of a 1.5 inch X 1.5 inch piece of wood which did the trick. So far the unit has worked great. If the winder works for at least 3 or 4 years, even if I have to replace it, the relatively low price makes it a good deal. Hope this review is of help to you. I wrote the above review in February when I purchased the winder. On 30 June the winder stopped working. Maybe I just got a "lemon" I don't know, however I would be leery about purchasing this winder as it appears that it does not perform over the long run.

ACCURATIC Winder - Bang for the Buck!
I've owned automatic watched for over 20 years and have owned various watch winders ranging in price from $40 to $300 dollars. I've had a Wolf single winder for the last 6 months, but really haven't used it that much, since even though I own five automatic watches, I really only wear one at a time and it's usually on my wrist. However, recently, I picked up a Sunnto watch to wear during the weekends, so I've started to put my Omega chronograph in the Wolf winder after work on Fridays. Upon changing watch on Monday, I've noticed that my Omega chronograph is no longer running. The Wolf Design winder worked perfectly with my other automatic watches, but apparently my Omega chronograph requires more than 650 TPD. Thus, I went ahead and took a risk with the ACCURATIC winder, which I've never heard of before, since it allowed for "Turns Per Day" adjustments. Very easy to set-up and use and first thing I notice is how quiet it is. Comparable to the Wolf winder. The watch cuff, that holds the watch in place is made of hard plastic and not as nice and soft as Wolf, but my watch fits snugly in and it should be fine. I set my winder to 900 TBD and place my watch in the winder Friday afternoon. I've left it in there for 4 days and the time is still holding perfectly. Previously, it would stop running after two days, which is it's power reserve. I'm very happy and now know that I can keep my watch there over the weekend and not worry about it stopping and having to open up the crown and re-wind the watch. Definitly worth the money and also received it, as always, in two days, since I'm a Amazon Prime member. Bang for the buck, I don't think you can beat this winder. We'll see how long it last and how long the motor goes for. Also, looking for to buying another winder and utilizing the expansion option that it offers.

Well designed, flexible configuration
There are a lot of design choices made for this watch winder that make it a great watch - winder solution. Since the over system design is modular, you can tailor your use to specifically match your watch needs. Have a watch that needs 900 rotations per hour that can only be wound anti-clockwise AND a watch that needs 650 rotations per hour and is wound clockwise? You can easily configure and run each separately. You can join two units, stacked vertically or horizontally, and run them off of the same power supply since you can jumper the power from one unit to another. There's also a four unit joiner to make a more stable block of four, rather than the instability of four individual units stacked together. You can run up to six units off of the same power supply. You can also buy these units five colors - black, white, red, blue and yellow if you want to add some diversity to you winders. All of the panels are connected with allen head screws, so you could even get Mondrian with your winders. The mount pod that you connect your watch to is also very intelligently designed with a leather-like front and a spring loaded back that easily snugs your watch on to the mount. This makes centering, adding and removing the watch easy. It is very quiet when it runs now, with the front of the rotating pod supported by four bearings mounted inside the front bezel. It remains to be seen how well the motor and other plastic parts survive over the long haul, but the design of the unit is clearly well thought out and executed. The flexibility that it offers in terms of capacity, configuration and power make it a great and practical choice for anyone with a growing mechanical watch collection.
