There were no instructions on how to take the case apart so I could put the iPad in. However, the case is a very good case and we are well pleased.

We've had this clods to year now on an iPad mini and I gave to say it's a very reputable product. Very strong and resilient, the device has been dropped several times with no issues. I think the edges are the best part

When I first started reading about this case, I was glad to see that this is compatible with the newest iPad Mini. After I purchased it, I started looking closer at the photos and was zooming in. I then noticed the photo is showing the mic next to the camera. That's the 4th Gen mini. The 5th gen (2019) model mic has been moved to the middle.The case is challenging to open up, especially if you don’t have any nails like myself. The instructions show how to open up the case. It’s just a firm fit, which I don’t mind.Having the microphones covered up by the plastic and rubber does muffle the sound while using FaceTime. My friend said I sounded muffled.I do like having the integrated screen protector and stand. I do see the stand construction is a bit on the flimsy side, so don’t force it and it should stand up.The case is built like a tank though! I could see children forcefully opening/adjusting the stand and it breaking though.Despite the microphone issue, this is a well-built case. I use FaceTime on a daily basis, thus my reason for subtracting 3 stars. I know I could rectify it by drilling holes in the plastic and rubber bumper, but I would probably mess it up. I am sure if you are inclined it would look “factory”.
