Without a doubt this is one of the books that I most treasure in my library. Every so often I lend it to a special friend. This book is composed of the letters of two writers, who met only twice but became intimate friends.. These letters are very tender and very personal. They cover a great range of subjects from their own writing, their feelings about books and authors, their travel, and the details of their lives. And through these letters an unforgettable friendship is formed. And through the years this friendship and these letters continue to swarm the hearts of readers. One is not the same person after having lived in these letters. This is a lovely lovely book not to be missed.

This book of letters between Silko & Wright were astonishing! Throughout the entire book, one can see how their relationship changed from strangers to friends to "lovers," and all of the letters are beautifully written! The letters end on a rather puzzling point but these letters are truly timeless!

A wonderful love story. We bought several and gave them to friends. It's rare that one finds an exchange of spontaneous love letters between two renowned poets.We loved the book. It's unforgettable.
