Extends my connectivity to devices
If you already run an eero mesh system and need robust, high-speed coverage for patios, garages, or sprawling yards, the eero Outdoor 7 delivers unmatched ease of use and weatherproof reliability. Just be aware you’re paying a premium for dual-band Wi-Fi 7 performance and app-only management—if you need true tri-band or 6 GHz support, consider other outdoor APs. But for seamless integration and rock-solid outdoor connectivity, it’s tough to beat. I use it to connect my WiFi security cameras and I am able to have a solid connection with this system. I can also stream movies, sports games and TV shows on our patio and in the garage now.Pros:-Massive Outdoor Coverage: One unit blankets up to 15,000 sq ft of yard, patio, garage, or outbuilding space—eliminating dead zones and extending your network to remote areas like barns, garage and patios.-Reliable Outdoor Performance: Delivers consistent speeds (often 350–450 Mbps in real-world tests) even under trees or across lawns.-Easy Installation: PoE+ injector and AC options mean you can mount it high and far without running multiple cables.-Smart-Home Hub Ready: Integrates with Thread, Matter, and Zigbee devices when paired with the eero PoE gateway.-Durable & Low-Maintenance: IP66 housing and rugged build let you “set it and forget it” year-round.Cons:Entry-Level Wi-Fi 7: Lacks the 6 GHz band—only supports 2×2 on 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz, so it’s not as future-proof as tri-band outdoor APs .-Pricey: The WiFi router is substantially more expensive than many Wi-Fi 6 outdoor extenders.-No Local Web UI: Configuration and diagnostics are limited to the eero app—power users may miss a full web-based interface.

Works great. Good coverage great speed.
I installed this in my yard approximately in the center of a one and a quarter acre parcel. it is installed about 6 feet up on the wall of a garden shed. I did have to run a cable from my indoor POE router underground to the shed but if you’re attaching this to the wall your house, it will be much easier. I chose the shed Sully to get the best coverage. it is very simple to set up and I get very good coverage through the majority of my yard. Not perfect everywhere but very good. It delivers the same speed as my indoor eero system, which is blazing fast. Since I’m already using the Aero system, it was a no-brainer for me, but it is quite expensive. However, I have confidence after using eero for many years now that it would function well and I wouldn’t have to do two installs by buying an inferior product.

Seriously Impressive Coverage and Speed!
I’ve got four Eero 7 Outdoor units spread across five acres, connected to Starlink, and I couldn’t be happier with how well they work. I’m consistently getting 150 Mbps+ over Wi-Fi, even at the far edges of the property. Honestly, I didn’t expect it to be this reliable or fast.Setup was a breeze—just follow the steps in the app, and you’re good to go. Once they were up and running, I was blown away by how much range these things have. No dead zones, no signal drops… just smooth, fast internet everywhere, even out by the barn and around the garden. They’re built tough too—rain, heat, and cold haven’t been an issue at all. The weatherproof design holds up perfectly, and they’re small and discreet enough that they blend right in outdoors. If you’ve got a large property and need solid outdoor Wi-Fi, these are a game-changer. Whether it’s streaming, handling smart devices, or just scrolling TikTok from the hammock, it all works flawlessly.Highly recommend if you want fast, dependable Wi-Fi across a big space. Worth every penny!Feel free to message me if you have questions.

Works great - with PoE+ injector
I ran a long CAT6 out to a pavilion. You need to power the cord, but easily done with an injector. Came online immediately.

Works great, but I had to call support
The Eeros outdoor 7 is an excellent product. However, after two attempts to try to connect with my network after about 15 minutes, my entire network went down. Before I returned the product, I called eeros and customer service was superb. They made modifications to my network on their end and ever since then I haven’t had any problems. I highly recommend this product. Kudos to customer service at Erros! I now get strong wifi at the pool and sauna room. I can’t wait for summer!

Ease of setup and use
Very quick and easy to setup and integrate with existing Eero system. Really made a difference in extending my coverage. I was able to achieve my goal to increase signal strength to my various exterior cameras along the back of my house. Very happy with purchase.

Degrades WiFi performance.
I have been excitedly anticipating the release of this Eero outdoor mesh router. Good WiFi is needed because I have a smart irrigation system. My solution prior to this release was placing an indoor euro mesh router in a plastic box mounted to a tree.Well my advice? Don’t buy it. The new outdoor eero router connects wirelessly, line of site to an indoor router that broadcasts at close to a gig. But it serves up at best 150 mb.Even worse, without this new router, my speeds outside were close to 500 mb. So this router, although beautifully water proofed, degrades outdoor network performance. That after spending hours on the phone with their tech support repeating the same old basic trouble shooting steps.I will be returning this router.

Works great but use a powered Ethernet connection
Works great! We got this to extend our network to the backyard for nightime movie nights on the projector. Previously our indoor network was spotty in the backyard but this fixed that problem. I already had an eero network so adding this was very easy. I did go for the powered ethernet connection instead of trying to extend the network over wireless only. That would be my recommendation for anyone adding this to their network.
