I have been looking for a wok for quite some time and just couldn't find that perfect one. I have previously purchased nonstick woks from Macys and they were one of my favorite cookware, but obviously as time passes things lose its quality and life. As per to say my woks wouldn't last that long and then I would notice the coating beginning to come off, and knowing that it is hazardous to the health I would end up throwing them away. I just have one deep wok now also purchased from Macys which I use for deep frying.Coming back to this beautiful 12' wok, I am in love with it, below are the reasons why:1- Its lightweight, light enough where I can hand lift it with one hand without the glass lid.2- Glass lid is made from thick glass, along with having a secure center handle allowing one to easily lift to open as well as to close the lid.3- The non-stick coating is immaculate. I have been using silicone spoons for cooking and have not seen anything happen to the coating.4- Easy and quick to clean off residue with dish soap and sponge.5- Bottom has a flat surface, great for glass top ware stoves and even for gas top stoves.6- Has handles on both sides of the wok, great for getting a goodl hold of the wok while cooking.7- Glass lid sits secure on the wok, keeping food warm when the stove is off, along with maintaining the right amount of heat within the wok when set at an ideal temperature.I have cooked maybe over a course of twenty-five different dishes , whether it was a whole chicken, minced meat or even some vegetables, and I have not been disappointed once. I was also able to make some Korean Chicken with about thirty chicken pieces and it turned out to be perfect. I own an electric glass stove and normally keep my heat high to reach a certain temperature initially, and then set it between medium range between 5-7.I'm a highly satisfied customer, if you're looking for a nice sized wok, then you most certainly won't be disappointed with this one!

I am trying my hand at more Asian cuisine and I never would have thought how big of a difference a wok makes when making meals. I really love this wok, it has become one of my all time favorite pans to use now. I the amount you can fit in this pan is amazing, the lid fits perfectly, and the nonstick coat on the pan makes cooking and clean up a breeze. I cannot recommend this pan enough, it is fantastic, you can use it for quite large meals if you are lacking space in your other pans. Highly recommend!

We loved having an electric wok, but it was just worn out. This stove top wok is a similar large size. The flat bottom means it works pretty well on my glass top stove with the flat bottom and a matching size fast boil burner. Not all stoves have this which may be a concern for some. The glass lid fits well and helps with trapping steam and heat if needed. The handles are large and provide a good grip.This is a large pan, so storing it requires considerable space. Even more than our old electric wok. So keep that in mind when you look at the dimensions in the description.The non-stick surface is brand new, so it works great for stir fry and cleans up easy. Only time and hard use will show if it will last. It says oven safe, but only up to 350 degrees F. I generally use cast iron for dishes I need to cook in the oven. It also claims to be dishwasher safe, but we plan to hand wash it.At about $50 this is an average value. It seems heavy and sturdy, so we are hoping it will last at least as long as our electric wok for occasional use. We may even start using more since we don't need a separate outlet to plug it in.

I’m trying my hand at making fried rice and other Asian cuisines that cook better with a wok. This wok from COOK N HOME, is not only non stick but with its 12 inches in size, makes it easy for me to use on my regular electric stove. Great purchase for the price.

This is a "serious" pan. The weight is substantial, so it will be stable. The hard anodized composition of the wok should make it so lower heat levels will be required to achieve good results. Nonstick pans should be used at max medium heat anyway to keep the coating in good shape.Not having cooked in a wok for a long time, I'm looking forward to trying various recipes. It's easier to think of cooking with the cooler fall weather after a long, very hot summer. This time of year puts me in mind of using harvest vegetables, with interesting sauces. This pan has plenty of room to prepare a meal for a family, but can also be used for a quick stir fry for two.I was planning to buy a similar pan from another brand, but when this became available to try out for Vine members, I was anxious to have the chance to test it out and give an honest review. From appearance, size, and functional design aspects, this should be a winner in the kitchen.
