Fantastic pesto book!
I was asked to do a presentation at church for our women’s group on cooking with herbs. This book was brimming with wonderful recipes and inspirations to try them all! I ended up choosing 6 different things to bring to our group.1. Peanut-sesame Pesto2. Goat-cheese, yogurt& lemon Pesto3. Sun dried tomato & almond Pesto: I used it on Nan bread as a pizza with fresh basil, feta cheese, spinach and tomato.4. Green herb-mango vinaigrette5. Herbed butter6. Blueberry Basil cream cheese.Everyone was so excited and loved it all!I think 8-10 people, of the 43 that were there, are all buying this book!Lol! I think I need a commission from this! Thanks for writing such a great book!

Quick and simple way to punch up dinner
Some great ideas for different pestos and ways to use them. Add pesto to a rotisserie chicken the second or third time you're serving it, and suddenly no one is bringing up that you're having chicken AGAIN. Perfect for summer cooking.

Great Resource for Pesto
My wife saw this book somewhere and loved it. She grows a lot of the ingredients in her organic gardens so this was a great gift!

Pesto International! And that's just the start!
The author, Olwen Woodier, manages to go far beyond the perimeters of what we know as pesto and it's not just a cookbook of pesto recipes. She also gives recipes for meat, fish, and vegetarian meals into which the pesto recipes can be incorporated. Her pesto recipes go from the traditional Pesto Genovese to Romesco sauce, tomatillo-sunflower salsa, peanut-sesame pesto, aiolis, and salad dressings. I can't wait to start cooking.

Well worth the investment
This book opened my eyes to a world of creativity. I learned what I was doing wrong, a few tricks such as how to keep basil pesto from turning dark, how to use different nuts and seeds and the way to innovate on a basic recipe. My favorite so far is the red pepper and walnut purée. Yum! I also love that she includes recipes to use the pesto, and she has suggestions for vegans.

This complements any other cookbook you have
Love love love this book. And I actually have one entire room dedicated to cookbooks. Obviously this is an "on the side" kind of cookbook but if you truly love making food for your loved ones you need this. Follow your main recipes and pile on the fabulousness with one of these recipes. Favorites are the poblano oregano puree and the romesco but really I could go on and on. Seriously if you are a beginner cook using some of these recipes will get you major kudos and if you are a serious cook this will give you tasty extra special options.

Lots of different recipes! Although the basic pesto is an easy recipe, this book offers a great variety of tasty combinations and even dishes in which we could use the pesto recipes.

What a good buy
Am really thrilled with this purchase. It was a bit of an unplanned purchase but I couldn’t be happier. It has exceeded my expectations and challenged my thinking about Pestos, sauces and dressings. Can not wait to get started. I’ve got lots and lots of recipe books and this will be a great addition.

Great gift for the gourmet in all of us!
Before I purchased this cookbook I had no idea there were so many different kinds of Pesto. The layout of this book and the pictures compliment the recipes perfectly.

Not quite what I was expecting
I should have read the info more carefully - I was expecting 116 recipes to make a variety of pestos and dressings but a good number of the recipes are for using the pestos in dishes. But regardless, some nice looking recipes that I’m looking forward to trying out - thinking I need to expand my herb garden. It’s an American book using cups for as units for measurements. If you don’t have measuring cups just use a small mug or a tea cup, roughly the same size. I’m ok with cilantro and arugula but ‘chile’ as a spicy pepper and not a country is a first!
