Still holds up after 6 years!
Hands down the best quality pillow protector on the market. Not only has it protected my pillow 6 years, but has been so comfortable that I forget it’s even there. The technology that goes into the production of this fabric is truly cutting edge, and it’s as soft as combed cotton! I love that it doesn’t have an inner plastic liner like cotton products, doesn’t have any chemical smell, and is silent. This is an example of new technology bringing us a better product!

Bought two more as soon as I realized how soft these are
I've been using allergy covers for 20+ years, and these are my new favorites. What makes them better? First, they are very soft. They come out of the box stiff, and I was a little disappointed by that, but the instructions tell you to wash before using, so I did... and they came out soft and cottony! They make no crinkling noises, and they wash up beautifully, getting softer each time.Second -- they're a bargain! I've bought many pillowcases that weren't as good and cost 3 or 4 times as much.I went back and bought extras (at this price, why not?) so I can have two allergy cases on each pillow -- one that never comes off, keeping the pillow allergens forever trapped, and one that gets removed for washing every month or so. So far, it's working wonderfully. These are highly recommended for anyone with allergies, runny eyes, asthma, etc... or just anyone who's grossed out by the idea of an old pillow full of who-knows-what.

Good quality cover
This is probably the best quality pillow cover that I have ever purchased. The material is thick, the seams are well stitched & the zipper works great. The cover does not make a lot of noise when laying on it that would disturb sleep & it fits great over the pillow(not too tight). The only thing that I didn't like is that no mater what I do to try to get all the trapped air out, every time I lay down there seems to be extra air that needs to be let out making it a bit uncomfortable even though my pillow is extra soft itself. Can't really speak to how well it works to keep any bugs out though.

Very soft, nice case
These are really nice pillow covers, especially when washed. My boyfriend was hesitant/grumpy when I was told I needed to cover all our pillows because I found out I have a dust mite allergy. I got this cover and another type that's billed as a terry cloth surface. He preferred this to the terry cloth, which was not what I was expecting. It is very soft after washing and feels almost like cotton. I know these are not waterproof but that's not really what I was getting them for. They seemed to have helped with my allergies but it's always a little hard to pin down exactly what the cause is cause I'm allergic to a wide range of things. Still I like them and the very tight weave of fabric does seem to hold air in and out (you can kind of squish the air out of the case) so it should help with the dust mites for sure and I like having an extra clean layer to separate my face from our old pillows that could probably use replacing :)

Mid-grade allergen pillow cover
As I noted in another review of the mattress cover of the same brand and grade, this pillow cover is a little stiff coming out of the package (it got only a slightly softer with washing). With allergen covers, you definitely get what you pay for. The more expensive, the more "fabric-like" the cover will feel. These covers feel like a thick version of the disposable cover you get on an airline pillow. While you can mitigate this stiffness on your mattress by putting a mattress pad between the cover and the sheets, usually folks just put the pillowcase right on the pillow. This cover is not uncomfortable, but you can definitely tell it's there on your pillow. In this case, I actually might spend a little more and get a premium grade cover just to get rid of some of the stiffness. That being said, my kids have not even noticed the covers, so maybe they are not as noticeable as I think. On the upside, they make changing pillowcases so much easier as there is a stiff and smooth quality to these covers. Now the pillows just slide right in the cases without much shaking!

Great option for asthma and allergies! Highly recommend!
A lot of the reviews I read before purchasing were for bedbug protection. Only a few mentioned protection for dust mites and allergens. My 6 year who has been sick for a few months was finally diagnosed with asthma, and a severe allergy to dust mites (among several other things). I decided we quickly needed to get the mattress and pillow case covers to see if that helped. I learned there are a LOT of products out there. Then how did I know which one to purchase? After a night and morning of reviewing products, I decided two things. First, seems there are a lot that work well. Second, if I don't love the one I choose, I can get a different one next time (seems like they only last a year or so). So, based on the good reviews and the affordable price point, I went for this item.First, after reading other reviews, I washed everything when the package arrived. Definitely paper-feeling, but stronger than it looks. I had two twin mattresses to cover, so I just stood the mattresses up on end. After vacuuming them, I decided to try covering my mattresses myself. I think a twin is do-able on your own (if you're tall). I would definitely say two people for any other size. I was very careful, and was successful in covering them without any problem on my own. Also, after covering the mattresses, I put on their standard mattress covers and sheets. I couldn't hear/feel any difference, and they're kids, so they haven't noticed anything. I don't think it sounds crinkly or rough. But definitely still use a regular mattress pad over them. It's only been one night, and I can't say my son has miraculously improved. However, he slept the latest he's slept in weeks, and I have not heard any morning coughing/hacking which is amazing. His airways are so inflamed,it's going to take us weeks to heal his lungs, but it sounds like we're definitely on the right track. I am glad I went with these covers. Hoping this good trend continues!
