It only has a 6 to 8 in permanent cord. Limited flexibility. It operates well and has recorded a lot of material. You really don't realize the cord problem before you get it but I didn't purchase it for that reason. It was price so it functions well for that reason.

This unit worked fine for loading my music CDs into iTunes, but it never would work at loading programs into my computer by CD.
