I recently purchased the Nitecore EDC23 (This is my second flashlight from Nitecore) and I am beyond impressed! This ultra-slim, 2500-lumen powerhouse has completely changed my perception of what an everyday carry flashlight can do. Key Highlights: 1. I am a little bit of a snob when it comes to flashlights. Generally speaking I carry Surefire lights. I am in a line of work where my equipment is essential to my being able to go home at the end of the day. This light, however, looked interesting and I decided to try it out. It seems to be well build and pretty intuitive to use. I like the lockout feature. I carry the light as a backup light in my pocket at work and being able to locking out means that I don't really worry about it turning on in my pocket if my gear or something bumps the button. The different light levels are good. I like it has a strobe feature. The display is very helpful, showing the light level and battery level. I would consider buying it again or maybe a similar model.

I was looking for a small EDC flashlight to attach to my backpack. This flashlight has worked great when needed. It's very easy to turn on and cycle through brightness levels. It also feel pretty solid for a flashlight that is so small. My only concern is the non user replaceable battery. For the cost and my needs the pros outweigh the one potential con.

The Nitecore EDC23 has far exceeded my expectations of a regular carry flashlight. The size (4"Length x 1.3width x .89" height) is perfect for carrying, and is about the size of an average pocket knife. Not heavy either, at just under 4oz. It features a strobe option, as well as 4 brightness settings, (turbo being the brightest at 2500 lumens for a temporary 5-7 seconds before brightness then drops to 1200) I especially appreciate the lockout feature! Mechanically lock the device by moving the switch on the side to stop unwanted power activation when it's in your pocket. This is an excellent every day carry light and was well worth the money. The only gripe about it is the complaint seen throughout other reviews - the pocket clip. It is long, very stiff, and mounts about 3/4 down the flashlight - meaning the other 1/4 length of the light is sticking out, and is an annoyance if you center carry along your pant-line/ belt loops. This would be a perfect 5 stars if they redesigned the pocket clip to mount at the top of the unit, less stiff (able to use 1 hand to affix to pocket/belt) and it wasn't so long.

Purchased a few months ago and this is a really cool light at first every once in awhile the half press function won't let me cycle to the preferred brightness now it's consistanly not functional I didn't see a contact seller option in the Amazon store it's pretty gently used most of the time in my drawer when not in my pocket love the light the turbo and strobe function work awesome and it's nice to see how much battery life but they have a serious issue(many others experience the same problem)with the main button function if seller is willing to contact me and solve this that would be nice otherwise I won't be getting another nitecore

You may ask yourself, do I really need a $60 flashlight? Well the answer is yes. It will be the last flashlight you ever buy. It is blindingly bright if you want it to be or just a faint dim if needed as well. It’s easy to pocket, holds charge a lonnnng time and has a freaking video screen. I personally collect small high end flashlights and this is without a doubt my favorite now.

I’m not sure what more you could ask for in an EDC flashlight. It’s tiny (smaller than I expected even), super powerful, good features and a long battery life. I suppose you could go with one of the higher lumen models but this is plenty powerful at its diminutive size - bigger wouldn’t be worth it for me.

The size and shape make this a perfect EDC EveryDay Carry. Once you get it set up and get used to the functions, very handy. Having an actual digital display is fantastic. The only thing I would change is to be able to reverse the clip for attaching to a hat bill or what ever.
