Facet Cutters Handbook

THIS BOOK is better than a class I took on faceting. Even though I have been playing with faceting for several years, I didn't know anything until this book! I can finally take a hunk of material and prepare it correctly before mounting it to the dop! This is going to work perfectly!

This is a really good book. If you're in the diamond business anywhere, this is a must read. To understand the way a diamond is cut, and the precision that it takes, is real good product knowledge. All the pictures are big, but think about it, most of the diamonds are small, really small. It gave me a lot to think about, and consider.

A little old and out of date from what I have read so far. There is some good information though that won't change with the times so much, such as the discussion on choosing your your facet design to emphasize the inherent refractive properties of your a stone. I'm enjoying reading it so far, but I wish the print was a little larger and brighter. The old style of printing makes this book a little difficult to read.
