TL;DR : Treats did not fit toy at all, but my dog LOVED the flavor.
The treats did not fit in the bone, they are supposed to snap into place and they were too thin, they fell right out. And it wasn't one or two out of the entire pack, it was all of them. The cost was supposed to be worth it because it was a treat that fit a specific bone. The reason for the 3 stars and not less is that she loves the treats. I will not be buying them again, nor will i be buying the romp 'n chomp hold 'em toy again. I still think Nylabone products are right for my dog, but I hope that they take this sort of issue into consideration during R&D, and moving forward.

Received expired product
I ordered this product on June 27, 2012 and received it June 29. The best by date stickered on the package is "030712". Assuming traditional month-day-year dating, that's almost four months past. Even if it's day-month-year dating, it's still close. I would not have even questioned the age of the product if the sticker wasn't there, but why add a 'best by' sticker if it's not needed...and why send it out if it's out of it's freshness period? Because I'm not the one consuming the product, I can't say if the product is bad or not, but I did notice that so far only ONE out of three of the treats I've used actually fits in the Romp n Chomp bone that I bought it for. This totally defeats the purpose of challenging the dog and giving him a treat that takes time to consume when I leave. Instead he grabs the refill treat and wolfs it down. Disappointing since he otherwise likes the bone. I'd hoped to be able to use it as intended with a treat insert once in awhile.

She likes them, but they're a little expensive.
My Rottie loved them, but it would only take her a few seconds to get the refill out of the holder. She still likes to chew on the holder but at a buck a piece, these treats are a little expensive for no more than a minute or so before she devours it.

Didn't work
I have 3 issues with this product. 1) The treats fell right out of the two toys that we got specifically to go with these toys. There are grooves on the treats and the toys, but the treats are too small and they just fell out. 2) They left orange stains on my carpet and my dog's bed. 3) They gave my dog (who eats a wide variety of treats with no problems) terrible diarrhea. I'll go back to stuffing her toys with peanut butter. At least when that gets on the carpet it doesn't stain.

Not Crazy about them
my dogs will eat them, but they are not crazy over them either… they'll eat anything! In this case, it worked out better for me to just use their regular treats in side their toys.

My dog LOVES these, but they leave an orange color behind.
My 14# dog loves these, but they leave an orange-ish stain behind on anything they touch when they're wet. I'm able to wash it out in the wash using a stain remover, but you can't wash your sofa, etc. If you buy these, just be aware of that.

Good for dog who loves to chew
These treats are great; I have them on automatic delivery because they've become a nightly ritual. The holder needs to be replaced every so often, because chewing narrows the slot that holds the treats. After our dog has used it for a while, we need to use a hammer to pound the treat into the holder. But we don't mind that. The wear-and-tear keeps the treat in place longer, so she can chew it longer.

Brings Dog Running
Lab loves them. He's very determined and works it until it's all gone every time. The Nylabone you put them into gets mangled, but with a little care, I've been able to jam the entire package-worth of treats into the original bone (one-at-a-time, of course). I'll probably replace the bone now, but this is one of the few that gets repeat attention from my dog.
