Awesome sound & great looks, for a price
I have been looking to replace my Bose Companion 20 which finally gave up the ghost. The Edifier M60 were good looking, small enough to fit on my desk and sounded adequate, but the treble were a bit harsh and the bass was rather underwhelming. To my unprofessional ears, the Ora4 are more in line with the Bose's warm sound, and at the same time exceed the Bose in both bass and clarity. They are significantly bigger than both the Bose and the M60, and I had some fears that placing them close to the wall & corner would negatively affect sound quality, but not so.Pros:- awesome sound- great looksCons:- larger than some other good speakers- relatively expensive- stands sold separately- no covers, drivers may get dirty over time or damaged

Exceptional Sound
These sounds unbelievably good. Very tight bass, and exceptional clarity and sound stage for my ears. Some thoughts:- I like very bass forward music, and I'm totally satisfied with the bass range and output of these. I wanted reasonably small speakers that wouldn't require a sub for the kind of bass I like, and these deliver.- The size of these took a bit of getting used to; I felt like my desk was a bit cramped for a bit, but now that I've gotten used to the look and presence on my desk, I love them.- I suspect that if I do add a sub in the future, I might regret going with the Ora4 over the original, much smaller model. If you're tight on space and think you might want to add a sub in the future, you might want to consider going with the original Oras.- They're pretty expensive for desktop speakers in my mind, especially considering that you need to buy stands and connection cables separately, so if I was to knock some points off it would be for value.- Build quality and weight feel amazing to me. I saw some reviews mentioning that they feel light, and slide around when activating the control knob, but that hasn't been an issue for me at all.- Bluetooth connectivity has been flawless so far.

Worth every penny!
This is a huge change from my AudioEngine+ speakers. When I first turn them on it was night and day, being in front of them feels like a mini concert, here's what I like:Pros:1) The sound is crystal clear and the bass is perfect. Best pair of desk speakers I have ever bought hands down.2) I like that the volume knob is in front.3) I like how the build is rock solid, it doesn't feel like cheap plastic speakers.4) I like how the cord connecting the both speakers just clicks-in and is very long, my audioengine speakers they had this screw were you would have to fit a copper wire in and squeeze the screw between the metal screw and the speaker, which was very annoying.5) I like how it comes with rubber feet so they don't slide around the desk.6) I like how it comes with a color code LED, yellow light means you're connected to the PC, blue light means it's ready to pair with your device. I use an iPad, I like how all you have to do is set it to blue LED and play music from your iPad and that it pairs automatically.Things I don't like:1) Doesn't come with a USB-A - USB-C cord, if you want to plug into your PC then you have to buy it separately.2) The knob doesn't have a stop point, so you always have to remember to turn it down before playing it otherwise you get a jump scare.3) I wish there was a way to adjust the bass manually on these speakers, sometimes the bass can be a bit overwhelming especially if a song is designed to have lots of bass. But that's okay, you just have to adjust the bass on PC or on iPad which is easy enough.Did you notice I still gave it 5 stars? Yeah, the quality overrides all the little things that I found wrong with it!

It's a good buy for a near field reference monitor.
Good sound once broken in after a few hours. I went from a Klipsch Promedia 2.1 which believe it or not, they sound amazing. It just doesn't have more detail or wider soundstage like the Ora'4s. I do like them. I also got the stands to match the white speakers. My desk is a black Secret Lab Magnus Pro with all accessories and that is how I have my set up, it's clean, simple and efficient. The speakers aesthetically compliment my set up. The only knocks I have is (actually two) 1. They should have been made for a higher output. My Klipsch was louder but not as clean. 2. a direct optical port on the back of the speaker. I was between Adam Audio T5V and Kali LP6, in the end I chose the compromise of paying about $100 -$125 less for each) less. I caught the Kanto Ora 4's in a one day price drop so I pulled the trigger. I played with them for days, also downloaded Boom Audio app for added sound tailoring and flexibility. Even then my inner conscious was begging for more and I began to second guess my choice. I finally added a sub I had in storage, a HSU STF2. It's an old school high quality musical sub (excellent condition) and it made a huge difference! You have to with the ORA4s, when a subwoofer is connected, and the active crossover is enabled, when enabled you should be able to set the crossover to the highest/most open setting that way (on the sub) all of the lows once the Ora's crossover auto kicks over then the sub does the heavy lifting sonically and the Ora's really shine. For the price I got them for I feel was worth it. My next choice was the Adam Audio T5V. Maybe one day.
