These sconces look like ones you'd see when walking down the halls of a nicer hotel; the swooped arm adds something special and looks higher-end. As someone else mentioned, they look hardwired and more expensive than the cost (about $80/2 at this writing). They are a tasteful brass-gold color, slightly darker than pictured. The shades are not bad, but I am picky about such things and would prefer silk or linen at the right price, so they are on my list to replace. The sconces themselves are substantial in feel and work impressively well with the remote -- super easy, just one tap to change. One remote controls both, so with the two remotes included, you can have a remote in two places for more convenience. I love this! It means wherever I am, I don't have to walk across a dark room to turn on a light switch. Just make sure the sensor is aligned more or less with where you'll aim the remote from. The charge time is impressive; I charged both bulbs overnight and use 300 or 400 light temperature at night and on overcast days; they are on for no more than an hour at a time and have lasted about a week so far. All in all, I'm quite pleased with these and if I can find the right shades, I'll get a couple more sets and put them throughout the house. They are beautiful and a great value in my book.

These sconces are exactly what I want. They have a modern vintage style. My favorite feature is the bulb can be charged separately from the fixture to prevent having to have charging cables hanging from the light. Assembly was a cinch. The stem screws into the plate and add the shade and assembly is done. The remote works well with no hiccups. All hardware needed is included. I am renovating the room so I cannot hang them yet.
