Greatness, period, regardless of the price
There is a video review of this speaker in the cab I had it installed in on YouTube, Channel "Gwugluud 77" entitled "Gwugluud's Bad Gear Demos #2". Installed this along with an Eminence Man O War to replace the stock corpse-like, blahhh speakers in my Bugera 2x12 guitar cab. Yes, I know, an expensive speaker and a cheap speaker side-by-side, I'm retarded.NOW the cab has the very rude "British" characteristic that I prefer. My instincts were correct about the choice of speakers; I did much online research. The cab blasts a great Marshallesque brand of sound now, and it's interesting to get directly in front of each speaker back-and-forth to compare them. The Eminence is an ape of the Celestion 75, and it has the same slight...some call it a "mid-scoop", but I'm not sure that's the right way to describe it. When I used to own a 4x12 cab with 75s in it, I never noted any especial lack of mids. It sounded great for stuff most would I guess prefer a Greenback for, such as when I thought I was Clapton circa "Fresh Cream" or the guy in Blue Cheer or something. Now this Rocket 50 accentuates and agrees with the Man O War nicely. It has extra-harsh (in a good way) mids and highs. I own a cab which has Vintage 30s in it, and I'd describe the Rocket 50 as sounding like an extra-trashy (if that's possible) Vintage 30 with an even worse attitude problem. Greatness. Final note: When I used my Epilepiphone Les Paul with p-90s with my Blackheart 15-watt amp brain with a Rat pedal thru this cab, it NAILS the very early Clash "sheet-metal" sound I've noted from seeing footage of them from 1976. Playing (or trying to play) "White Riot" and "What's My Name" thru this setup sounds amazing. I may buy another Bugera 2x12 (they're cheap and look really cool, sort of Twin-Reverb-like in basic appearance), and with that one replace the stock drivers with a Warehouse (sic?) Greenback clone along with a Jensen Mod. Wouldn't THAT make an interesting-sounding rig played both together.

Not Bad At All
I work on amps, I got these for my new test cabinet, they were the cheapest speakers.I’ve got to say, for the price, very nice sounding speaker. If you’re looking for something reliable with decent tone for the money these do not suck.Jensen mods are the next comparable speakers price wise and I would say these sound a touch more British. Both are fine speakers.

WOW!
I use mostly affordable gear and I've loved my amp since it arrived, but over time it seemed like I can only get 95% of the tone I was looking for. So I swapped out my Bugera 22 Infinium's 12" Turbotwhatever that came stock, for this Rocket 50, the lowest cost Celestion I could find, and the difference is amazing. Every note in the chord has it's own chime and it's beautiful. Dirty or clean this thing sounds amazing, I swear my Les Paul sounds like a Strat just by lowering the pickup volume. I was really hoping this would do something, but I had no idea just how much it would do. In retrospect, I was only halfway to a tone, lol.It makes that much of a difference that I believe I would now upgrade the speaker of any Amp, unless it already had a high end speaker. From what I gather, most do not. Anything that makes you want to play more is a great purchase, and this is definitely making me want to play more...

easy as pie
Everything was as expected, quality speakers on a tight budget. The only thing was I bought TWO speakers and they shipped/arrived at different times which was a bummer when waiting to put them in my twinverb at long last. One of the packages looked like it had been through some rough times before getting to me too w lots of broken tape-- but everything was fine in the end!

Serious bark and bite at a value price
Swapped out the stock Fender Champion 40 for this. Couldn't be more pleased. Clear punchy mids and punctuated highs with smoothe steady bass. Can really growl and bark when you want it to. Really dynamic with some crazy clarity. I like the shimmer and chime. Might put this in. Marshall DSL 40 next,. Seems like a textbook application for that amp at an unbeatable price.

Buen producto
