Whether the toy is on or off, it provides lots of fidgety fun. It's not as quiet as the listing made it seem...it will still be distracting even with the sound off or the entire thing off by pressing the bubbles and resetting them in a classroom setting.It comes with a variety of games, so at least one or two are sure to catch your fixation. It conveniently comes with its own screwdriver to install AAAx3 batteries, but the metal of screwdriver is softer than the alloy of the screws. Thus, the screwdriver fell apart on its first use when we were trying to get batteries in. We had to use our own standard philipshead screwdriver.

My daughter played with a similar toy at a friend's house and came home raving about it, so we had to order this one. (She struggled to decide between the bear, the bunny, or another cute design. The bear won.) She sat down on the steps and started playing instantly -- to the point that I had to insist she put it down and come to dinner!We appreciate the settings for volume -- it's not just silent or loud, but there are a range of volume settings.That said, it's never going to be a *quiet* toy because you have to smash the back (pretty hard) to reset the bubbles with each level. And that's mechanical, so there's no chance of reducing the noise there. It's not a "quietly waiting in line" type of toy!

He loves this game and cannot stop playing it! Whenever he is just bored this is a nice way for him to relax without him taking my phone!

My grandkids love this game. They each have one and can play together or separately with them. They’re all competitive so they think it’s fun.

I bought 1 of these for each of my kids at Christmas. They both were so excited and started playing immediately. These will make for great car ride activities. I even find myself grabbing one from time to time to play and pass the time.
