XIEJINJIOolong Tea - Taiwan Dongding Oolong Tea Bags, 3.2g x 50 Count, Pyramid Teabag, Whole Leaf, Mild Fermentation

This Oolong tea is wonderful. The tea leaves, packaging, and tea bag design were carefully and well thought through. The price is a bit on the higher side though I feel well worth it. The tea leaves are dried whole leaves in small pellets which open up once steeped. This creates a wonderful soothing light and full-bodied tea. The packaging is designed with a pull-tab to open and then is easily resealable for airtight storage. The tea bag is shaped like a pyramid allowing the water to pass through the tea leaves and create a superb flavor. The tea bag mesh consists of very small holes and with the tea being whole leaves there is no residue in the bottom of the cup. One minor request is to document the caffeine content on the packaging. While Oolong tea is typically lower in caffeine, I am mindful of my caffeine intake and suspect others would appreciate the information as well. I have not experienced any jitters or other issues from consuming larger amounts of caffeine so this does appear to indeed be a lower amount. I have really enjoyed this tea, planning to purchase more, and highly recommend it.

These oolong tea bags produce a fine tasting tea. The flavor and nose are just what they should be, rich and pleasant.I would prefer something besides plastic tea bags.

XIEJINJI Oolong Tea bags are a delightful whole leaf tea. The bags are of nice quality and tea has good flavor. Not too strong and can be steeped multiple times. Caffeine is moderate but does not leave your heart racing. Would recommend this tea.

These were a long time in coming but well worth the wait. The tea leaves when steeped almost want to break out of the tea bags. We have switched to cutting the bags and steeping in a metal strainer, so they have freedom. The flavor is wonderful, not the typical Oolong but a more wholesome flavor with hints of Oolong. Full green tea leaves that look, smell and taste wonderful.

These tea bags have whole tea leafs rolled into tiny pearls that unfurl when steeping. While it doesn't mention it, I rinsed the tea bags in hot water (not boiling) and then brewed my first cup. The tea is delicious with a mellow flavor with a slightly sweet finish. There are also no visible powder in the bottom of the golden colored tea, indicating that the tea leaves are whole with little to no broken tea powder.

Like most oolong teas, the leaves have been rolled into little "pearls." Unlike most oolong teas that I have tasted, this one comes in teabags. You'll be surprised at just how much a few of those little pearls expand to fill the entire bag after just a couple of minutes. But how is the taste, you might ask? Well, it's good, but not strong enough.I have an electric kettle that has a setting for oolong tea, which is what I used the first time I brewed a cup. The result was entirely underwhelming. The second time, I poured water that had just stopped boiling and had much better results. Like most green teas, you can brew the leaves more than once. Normally the flavor is not as good with subsequent brews, but in this case, my second cup actually tasted better than the first. All this to say that, while these are fine if you're in a hurry, I would strongly suggest buying a porcelain tea kettle and some loose leaf oolong tea if you want to experience the best flavor. Teabags are certainly convenient, but there's a reason that people still brew tea the hard way. It just tastes better that way.

Very pleasant tea. With oolong it's nice to see the leaves unfurl as it steeps, just makes it feel a little more connected to the plant source that you see the leaves and have a sense for how they've been processed.Nice pyramid style bags, and I've come to note that products that use the "dog bone" style of pull tab on the resealable bags to just be a higher quality packaging, gives you a sense that corners aren't being cut.

This is a delicately flavored tea compared to some other oolong teas I have had, though I did use the oolong setting on my tea kettle and not boiling water like it suggested. It comes in a resealable bag of pyramid tea bags. The first one I used tore open when removing the tag, but the tea inside is large enough that none escaped. I tend to prefer a somewhat more strongly flavored tea, but a delicate tea can be nice at times, as well.
