It was brand new as stated and received very quickly. Very helpful if you have a child that is in Calculus.

Rewarding
This book is definitely advanced. I found that it has quite a bit of analysis in it, as in formal "Math Analysis", which is college course in and of itself. With that said, the book has, perhaps, a larger scope than might be necessary to convey the important topics of single and multivariable calculus. I guess that's why it's called advanced, and not multivariable. I also found that the book filled in some gaps and gave different insights from the single and multivariable calculus college courses I took. This book is well worth the money, and the time to work through it. The book gets four stars for two reasons: 1) I reserve 5 for exceptional quality. I'm a tough grader. 2) There is no online errata that I'm aware of. And there are a few errors in the book.

Even after twenty years apart, I've never forgotten this book. It simply feels great to find a newer edition after all this time. Its enduring survival is a testimony of its value.
