Product Description Dil To Pagal Hai is a story that makes this belief come true.It is the story of Rahul (Shah Rukh Khan) who does not believe in love - is there really someone made for him? He fails to understand how two people can spend their entire lives together. It is the story of Pooja (Madhuri Dixit) who believes that there is someone who is made for her and that she is destined to meet that person. It is also the story of Nisha (Karisma Kapoor) who believes that love is friendship and one day her dream will come true.Dil To Pagal Hai is a grand musical about passionate people with dreams. Will their dreams come true? Will they find their true love? The movie makes us believe once again that Someone, somewhere is made for us.. Review DTPH is the short form used for this film. The film is from the most successful Yash s production. The film stars Shah Ruck Khan, Madhuri Dixit and Karishma Kapoor. The film is about the incidents that happen in a dance team. Shah Ruck Khan and Karishma Kapoor form the dancing pair. They are close friends. Slowly Karishma falls in love with Shah Rukh. Meanwhile Shah Rukh falls in love at first sight with the Madhuri who arrives to their dance studio. Because of friendship Karishma sacrifices her love on learning that Shah Rukh loves the other and helps him in his love. The series of events that happen along are well portrayed making it an interesting film. The film has many foot tapping numbers and superb duet songs. It is worth watching more than once. It is a complete entertainer and you will be driven to watch it several times. --www.platform47.comThe story is fairly simple, and may be the only thing lacking in the movie. Rahul (Shah Rukh Khan), a director, starts with describing a new play that his performing team is going to put on ""Maya"", translated as ""illusion"". The lone female dancer in his team is Nisha (Karisma Kapoor). Nisha, madly in love with Rahul, once tells him about her love. As Rahul starts making this play with Nisha in the lead as ""Maya"", she gets injured, and the real ""Maya"", Pooja (Madhuri Dixit) arrives. Pooja is arranged to marry Ajay (Akshay Kumar), a businessman from London. Pooja takes the part as Maya hesitantly. From there, the story rolls to the finale quite peacefully. Shah Rukh Khan dominates the movie. His role as Rahul is played valiantly and may be deserving of an award. Karisma Kapoor dominates her role also. Her talents, shown off again after Raja Hindustani, may make her a mainstay in the film industry. Madhuri Dixit, as Pooja, shows off her talent as an actress, and this role may bring her back into the numero uno spot, as it was left up for grabs because many big name female character films flopped this year. The music sounds even better in the film than on cassette. The choreography and technical aspects of the direction during the songs show off the real beauty of Yash Raj Films. Yash Chopra s direction stresses his experience and delicate handling of the movie. Many other directors destroy films at their endings, especially films with weak scripts. The dialogues by Aditya Chopra showed off his young talents. The handling of the dialogues by Yash Chopra may make the dialogues better than they actually were, but they worked well in the context of the movie. The movie is a must watch for all you die hard romantics out there. --www.platform47.com

The gem from 90s Golden era
The songs and the picturisation is out of this world. I can't get enough of listening to Lata ji and Udit ji.The story is typical Bollywood themed but overall the movie still rocks, 25 years after its first release.

Dil To Pagal Hai
A happy first choice of an Indian musical. The music is memorable with interesting harmonies, the dancing is a great combination of movement and brilliant colour with subtle rhythms, a feeling of wellbeing and vigorous life is generated as viewing proceeds. All this is threaded together around a love story narrative. Altogether viewing was a thoroughly enjoyable experience, and I have returned to it several times and been exhilarated each time. Although I was dependent on English subtitles this was not a problem. Some insights into Indian culture were a bonus to sheer entertainment. Recommended.

Nice songs. A few laughs. Forgettable but entertaining.
Rahul describes to his entourage "Maaya". As he sketches her out verbally, Pooja dances on cue. The two seem conjoined. Is she his fantasy of is she for real?During the first hour of the movie the hero Rahul and heroine Pooja, almost meet. When in close proximity, Rahul always whistles the same haunting and memorable tune, which catches her interest.First encounter. Both are in adjoining changing cubicles, and she can hear him whistling. As she comes out, she notices he has no trousers, as he is trying to pass her, unobtrusively. Yeah right! That's really going to work. He whistles nonchalantly. She laughs and comments "mad".Second encounter she comes out as instructed by her uncle to thank him for bringing the birthday cake, only to see him walking away, whistling. On Valentine's night he rings her family's phone ☎ number she's irritated and cuts off the call. His comment "nice voice". Just before midnight she again hears the whistle. She's awaiting to see the face of her "soul mate". Just prior to this both have been singing the same song, in sync emotionally but physically in separate locations. Finally at the dance studio she's dancing in the spot light, on hearing him playing the drums is inspired to dance. She finishes to find him watching, his expression non too friendly. Feeling awkward she collects her stuff and leaves. He smiles. Click! She's the one! He's been waiting for, the female character for his next project. So he approaches her to dance for his show, whilst she is shopping. On his bended knees he begs her until she agrees. To thank her he gives her a watermelon. They attend the wedding of two of the dancers. Rahul can't see why people have to make such a racket about getting married, mind you he says the food is fabulous. Pooja disagees with him, telling him she's engaged, plus her belief there is ready made soul mate 💘 out there for everyone. But it's pretty obvious to him she's not too thrilled about her engagement.Rahul drops Pooja home, and asks how will he "spot" his soul mate? Oh, she says there'll be a sign so you'll know. As she walks away, he notes her bangle and the clanging noise it makes. He whistles as he drives away. Pooja recognizes the whistle.Seizing the opportunity to spend time with her, Rahul drives Pooja to see her old dance teacher for her birthday. It's obvious to the teacher which way the wind is blowing. She tries to convince both to admit their feelings for each other.Rahul' usual dancing partner Nisha is in love with him. She not thrilled to see Pooja replacing her. Realizing it's not a healthy attitude leaves for London to visit her parents, hoping Rahul will miss her in her absence.Ajay tells Pooja he'll tell her the name of his fiancee if a glass of water makes it to their restaurant table. At the last minute Rahul grabs the glass of water intended for Pooja and walks past her their table. No whistling! At the airport Ajay proposes. Hesitantly Pooja accepts his marriage proposal. As Ajay works abroad he departs but acts as a handy prop, to act as an impediment to a potential match between Rahul and Pooja.During the development of Rahul's new production, the lines are blurring. Are Rahul and Pooja actually rehearsing or are their emotions for each other for real. It's witnessing such a rehearsal on her return from London that prompts Nisha to realize that Rahul is in love with Pooja, and forever lost to her.On opening night, as the play ends Rahul goes off script. Tell me you never 💘 me for a minute? The cast are taken off guard. The viewer is taken by surprise. The tape Pooja prepared for her fiancee Ajay to end their engagement plays.Neither Ajay not Nisha play the bad guy, hoping to secure their own happiness by being manipulative which makes a welcome change. Both see things as they are. Whilst Nisha can't convince Pooja not to make a mistake, Ajay can.Ajay asks Nisha if she is married?

One of Yash Chopra's classic's.
Having watched this as a child, I honestly cannot believe I hadn't purchased the DVD until now. I'm so glad i did. It never disappoints and will cheer me right up on a cold winter's day.Shahrukh and Madhuri were perfection throughout. <3This is one film to be watched and then watched again and again. :D

I WAS EXPECTING SOMETHING BETTER FROM THE THEME. IT REMAINS ME THE FILMS MADE 60 YEARS AGO. TOO MUCH MUSIC..

One of the most magical and romantic movies of the 90s
Madhuri, Karisma and SRK each play their part with sincerity. Yash Chopra's magical direction is evident throughout. Also one of the best soundtracks which has 10 songs.
