Masons Pear & Pink Peppercorn Gin 70cl

Good quality, un-pretentious gin from Yorkshire
There was a time when there were two brands of gin on the market; a cheap brand with a picture of a Beefeater on the bottle and a slightly more expensive brand which came in a green bottle both owned by multi national drinks conglomerates. Then along came the challengers, firstly a blue tinted drink from Bombay and then one that you drank with cucumber which was quite a novelty at the time. Since then the floodgates have opened and there are dozens of designer gins, each to be consumed with its own prescribed blend of herbs and berries to be added to the mix and even recommendations as to precisely which type of tonic it should be mixed with. Some of these are very good but it's all become a bit pretentious if you ask me.Mason's gin is no nonsense good quality gin from Bedale in Yorkshire. Is it better than average and straightforward too. It comes in a plain bottle with Mason's gin on the label. Nothing too fancy and there is nothing to tell you what particular blend of herb you should drink it with or what specific type of tonic you need to add. It is good quality, straightforward gin from Yorkshire and I like it. A lot.

A little goes a long way! Totally yum.
Wonderful flavoursome yummy Yorkshire gin. Who's have thought it? Serious lockdown tasting confirms that a single shot of Mason's with a decent tonic, ice and lime tastes just as good as a double Bombay, Tanqueray, Plymouth or just about anything. Add in free Prime / Fresh delivery and a really low Amazon price and it has to be the best value and quality around. Ee - it's reet good.

Disappointing for a Mason's Gin
I've bought Mason's gins before and they're usually delicious: the Yorkshire Tea flavour is a favourite of mine. Unfortunately, I cannot say the same of this Pear & Pink Peppercorn gin. I cannot detect any pear flavour although there is a faint pepperiness present. Such a shame and I won't buy this flavour again.

Amazing flavour.
I bought this Gin for my partners Birthday. It arrived super fast and very well packaged, I was very impressed. The Gin has a lovely bottle design and made a lovely gift. The Gin itself has a lovely taste and very high quality, it paired well with some flavoured tonic waters. I would buy this again and recommend to others. The price is really reasonable for the size of bottle.

Highly recommended gorgeous taste and lovely bottle
Gorgeous gin. Bought gif someone as a gift but we ended up keeping it for ourselves as the bottle was lovely, once we’d opened it we found the taste was lovely too. I’m not usually a fan of straight gin but this is gorgeous.

This gin proves not all London dry gins are the same.
Of all the styles of gin - London dry probably restricts huge differences in taste more than most. To my palate, this one has a wonderful hint of aniseed. Definitely recommended!

Love this
I love this Gin, I just wish it wasn't so expensive plus I can't buy it in Edinburgh, Goes very well with clementine Tonic and a slice of clementine but you can have it with normal as well.

Typically Yorkshire
As you can imagine, coming from Yorkshire this is a real no-nonsense gin. The flavour is great, the blend of botanicals balances things out nicely but the citrus and hint of pepper really does set it off - I love it with a big slice of grapefruit - 5* from me.
