I don't have anything to compare this to as it's the only one I've ever owned or put together. But I'm a woman, 43 years old, 5'9", and 155 lbs. I put it together myself in about 30-45 minutes. It was extremely hot and humid in my garage so I took a few breaks. You'll get a workout but you can get it done. Love the gel stuff it comes with. Easy to add in and a garden supplied the water. Good hoop as far as I can tell. All the part fit together just fine. I set it to the highest level, about 10 ft or so. Standing it up was fun ha

We've been using ours for a few weeks now and are very happy with it.Assembly wasn't too bad. I think it took me ~1 hour? Fairly straightforward.I like the adjustable hoop setting. I set it up at a low height, my kid used it for a day, then requested a higher setting. Easy to do.The backboard is fairly small (but big enough for us), and it will wobble a bit on hard shots, but not bad. For the price I think this is better than I expected.

Went together in about 45 minutes, instructions were a little confusing since it just uses pictures and they're not exactly clearly printed. The adjustment requires unbolting and redoing - something requiring a second person. The base is flimsy but okay once filled with water. The poles do lean easily so I put some sheets of plywood underneath and it leveled out. Note: the backboard has a thin protective film on it! Many say it's not clear like the picture, just peel off the sticker and it'll be clear. Overall, for the price, not bad by any means. If it lasts a year, it's worth it.

I received it today, and I couldn’t be happier with it! Setting it up was a breeze—took my husband only about an hour from start to finish. The quality of the hoop is excellent, and it’s holding up really well. My kids are absolutely thrilled with it, and I can already tell it’s going to provide hours of fun.For the price, it’s definitely worth every penny. The adjustability feature is great, allowing for growth as my kids get taller. Perfect weight, and functionality Overall, this has been one of the best purchases I’ve made. You pay for what you get. Ordered this as a Christmas present, so by the time we put it together (we live in the north and were in inclement weather for 4+ months) we were out of warranty. It was fairly easy to put together, but half the base gel had fallen out, as the bag it was sent in had a huge, slice in it (the box was undamaged, so it wasn't a transit issue). Customer service was unhelpful in providing a replacement (we were out of warranty and they don't sell parts separately) so we picked up base gel at our local sports store.Shortly after, a storm came through and blew the goal over and bent the rim beyond use or repair.I've been going around with Customer Service through multiple emails, and they 1) won't replace the rim (we're out of warranty - I totally get that) 2) don't sell replacement parts (seems short sighted but... OK) and 3) cannot recommend / will not provide information for another manufacturer for a replacement part. (We tried buying a replacement through Dicks but guess what? The base for the bolts on a standard 18" rim is too narrow to fit on the Bests Choice back-board. Whoopee /s). So we have a $160 unusable basketball goal we got a few days' use out of.We should've dropped the extra $150-200 to get a goal from Dick's or Academy or something. Not only would it have been better for our wallet, but the additional fee would've been worth avoiding the frustration and irritation of dealing with BC customer service.

This hoop has taken a beating and works great. I bought 6 months ago and leave it out by the road. It’s easy to move and very stable.

Not worth buying! Not sturdy, doesn’t hold up in windy conditions. The backboard plastic was coming off after only a few months. We’ve only had it a year and it’s already bent and backboard shattered from falling. No replacement options for the backboard either.
