Sturdy and Stable ... perfect alternative to pallets and cement blocks.
It is very sturdy and balances perfectly. It arrived on time. It doesn't come with assembly instructions but I put it together using common sense and the photo on the box as a guide. Everything fits perfectly meaning there is no give. You have to use some pressure to push the frame pins all the way in. But once they are in, they are very secure. I was afraid that it was too narrow for my base to fit. But I was able to squeeze it in and make it fit. It is a very tight fit and then there are 4 screw holes to attach it to your base. It is probably good to have no give or wobble. It acts like one piece. I just wanted a very stable base that was higher than a couple wood pallets or cinder blocks. Also having only 4 points touch the ground lessens the chance of an invasion from slugs and other crawling insects. I put sticky material over the base of the legs to stop ants. I forgot when I order this that there is a tray to hold your frames on the side. That was a pleasant surprise.

Though sturdy and solid, it allows many other outside problems for bee hive 'robbers'.
We had purchased three of these units for three beehives, and have since converted two of the hives to an entirely different stand that is by far more user friendly and beneficial. This unit allows too many robbing predators such as ants and beetles to climb up and into the hive to steal the honey. We actually lost a hive due to this problem, and that was after setting each leg of this unit into water as recommended to deter them. The creators of this unit do not know how tenacious and resilient AZ ants and beetles can be. It looks nice and is solid, but beyond that it only made things easier for the predators. After losing our hive to predators, we looked around and found another stand that completely eliminated that problem. Now our hives thrive and we no longer worry about the loss of our investment. We now have three pretty useless stands, but they can support other structures as needed in the future, just not beehives!!!

Love it!
I am extremely pleased with this bee hive stand. The durable construction and weather-resistant materials give me confidence that it will withstand the elements and serve my hive for years to come. It was easy to remove the frame holders.

It's a bit tricky to assemble; here's how
I received this hive support without instructions. Here's how to assemble it. 1) Get some silicone spray lube - it makes the job much easier! 2) Inspect the parts. The small sides "receive " the larger sides. 3) The large sides slide into the smaller sides from the bottom up. 4) Get a paper towel, fold it into a pad and spray the silicone onto the pad - Not Much! 5. Wipe down one end of the long frame with the silicone on the paper towel. 6) Carefully insert the long end into the small end UPSIDE DOWN, with the both stand's legs up. 7) Push the long end in carefully and slowly until you hear a big *CLICK*. (You may have to wiggle it for the side to slide better.) That side is now locked in place. 8 Put the two assembled pieces on the floor with the legs sticking up 9) Find the other small side and using the silicone pad, wipe down the assembled large side's edge that will be insertPick up the assembled pieces and carefully insert the larger side into the smaller side until you hear a loud *CLICK. 11) Now wipe down both edges of the remaining large side. You may have to respray your paper towel pad. 12) Bring the smaller sides inwards and line up the larger side's inserts into the smaller side. 13) I had to start one side in *not too far * and then start the other in. 14) Once the sides are both started, press down or tap the large side down , ALL THE WAY, until you hear those *CLICKS*. 15. To help support the stand, place the metal pieces in their respective holes. Again, use silicone to help them slide in, and later out, if need be. Done!
