I own quite a lot of beanies, many purchased here, and this rates with the best of them for my tastes/requirements.There’re a few dissenting reviews below, which is their right/experience & the problem with Amazon reviews on pages such as this is, there’s a multitude of products on sale and one simply doesn’t know, unless it’s stated, which product the reviewer bought – so every item is washed with the same paint as it were.Rant. Skip if desired.This, to mind, is ridiculous. Browsing monitors, for instance, is extremely frustrating, as there are so many different models/specs all heaped on to the same page – there’s nothing wrong with doing that if when one can filter the reviews & doing so would be easy for Amazon, so I can only conclude that they chose not to.Rant aside.There appear to be two sets of beanies listed, the labelled ones and the ‘plain-(insert colour)’ – all of the bad reviews were for the ‘plain-(insert colour)’ set.Luckily, I bought from the other set, but I’ll testify toward the concerns expressed toward the other set in relation to mine.Itchy & sweaty – nope, it’s like candyfloss & marshmallows.Thin – yes, but it still protects from cold/wind & personally I love how light it is.Plastic feel – Not at all, it’s very comfortable and the fabric, 100% polyester, feels more akin to cotton/silk, very soft & smooth.Specs:Circumference 11” (28cm) – stretching to 13.5/14” (34-36cm)Height 11” (28cm) – stretching to 13” (33cm)Two labels:One along the rim, folded over so it’s half on the outside & half one the inside, displaying the same logo on both sides – I like it.The other label located halfway up along the inside seam is soft, pliable & unobtrusive. It contains laundry instructions (handwash 30c + do not soak) which I’ll be ignoring.I’ll be purchasing more of these (the red next I suspect) not least for their simple but appealing colour schemes coupled with comfort.If anything is unclear or if there's anything you're wondering about in relation to this product,please don't hesitate to ask & I'll endeavour to do my best to help.

Based on other reviews here, I avoided the options named "Plain", and chose one of the variants with a label on it, namely the Multi - Pale. Very happy with it. It says it's 100% polyester but it's as soft as cotton, feeling more like a cotton polyester mix. As well as soft, it is a rather slinky material, so it drapes, or perhaps I should say "slouches" easily and perfectly. I do have a reaction to some materials. One of my other beanies, an acrylic one, makes me itch like crazy. No such problems with this one.It's lightweight and thin, but not too thin. Just right for a summer beanie I would say. It feels very comfortable and breathable, and fits my average-to-slightly-larger sized head perfectly. Good value too, altogether I'm very happy with it. I'd just recommend, to be on the safe side, choose one of the ones that has the "Forbusite" black label on the side. It seems that the variants of this items are actually from two different manufacturers using slightly different materials.

The main reason I’ve marked this slouchy beanie down is the sizing, unless you have a small head it won’t give the look from others in the same style, the actual quality is good and is defo a summer beanie. Only wish it was made bigger to give the slouchy look I paid for

As others have pointed out, not all the hats grouped on to this one product page are the same. The ones with the Forbusite label are soft, comfortable and good quality, to judge from the one I have. The problems other buyers have the cited with the ones they have suggest that the no-label ones are not as good.I went for the claret colour; be advised that it's more red than it appears in the website image - an observation rather than a complaint.The fit is good; not tight but with enough grip that you won't have to worry about a light breeze carrying it away (for meaningful reference, I tend to buy hats in a a large size).One more good thing I'll mention about these hats: normal knitted beanies are like velcro if, like me, you have your hair shaved to stubble length. Because of the much closer, smaller weave of these it's not an issue.
