no more over rack burns!
I may be overly clumsy, but i do tend to burn my wrists and forearms every couple months and it's very painful. With the holidays coming I had to buy these when I saw them reviewed by America's Test Kitchen. They snapped on easily and so far are doing the job - i wish they offered a slightly longer version as i have a wide oven, but 18" covers most of it, and one could just buy an extra set and use double.

These have saved my arms
I'm clumsy, I'm always bumping into things. That's not a good trait to have when it means you're bumping your arm against the hot oven rack. These things have saved my arms.

Big dissapointment
This thin flimsy strip of material will protect your skin only from a glancing blow. I have an older model of this which is made of much more substantial material and actually works quite well.. Do not waste your money on this. Caution, you could burn yourself on this it is so thin..
