Works on HAIR. I think...
I used to use Green Gobbler on my rather cranky septic system. But I have hair.A. Lot. Of. Hair.Ayup, the hair clogged the leach field. To be fair, Green Gobbler warns you they don't DO hair. I missed that part when I selected that product as a newbie to septic tanks.Ahem, after six months of treating with Septic Shock, the last of the problems seem to melt away.Cautiously, I switched to Bio-Clean.And after six months of Bio-clean, the system seems to be free flowing again...Well, maybe. You see, I cut my hair.It ain't worth backing up the septic tank.

Helped with clogged sink but still needed to plunge for best results.
I had a very annoyingly clogged bathroom sink that would take minutes to fully drain. I heard good things about Bio-Clean so thought it was worth a try. I used it at night, leaving it in the sink for about 8 hours as indicated in the instructions. After 3 days I noticed some improvement but not as much as I had hoped. I was slightly annoyed but kept it up for a full week but it was still only a little bit improved. Finally I decided to plunge it again and amazingly the clog was gone! And it still is to this day...several months later. Thus ends my riveting story of the clogged bathroom sink.Really though, the product includes a handy little scoop in the container. It seems expensive but the powder is enough for many applications so is well worth it. Next time (hopefully not for a while) I need to use this, I will try plunging earlier as it definitely helped dislodge and dissolve the blockage.

Great product bad directions !
This product is amazing but they do not explain how to use it as well as they could. If your problem is grease build up in you pipes snaking will never fix it, the snake will just move through the grease but will not remove it. It may open it up just enough for your drain to run but not well and it will clog again. We have had our kitchen sink clogging for years and it just kept reoccurring after snaking and I did not understand why. The directions say "Bio-Clean with warm water works best" What they should say is use luke warm water (between 98º and 105º) , hot water will kill the enzymes and bacteria. I used hot water for the first 2 applications. I went and googled about the product and found other directions that specified luke warm water and then after 3 Luke warm applications and plunging, my drain was totally clear! I called and talked to the manufacture and they explained several things that should be on their directions. The enzymes eat the grease in a honey comb pattern and often because the grease structure is weakened by this a chunk will fall off and totally clog your drain when it was only partially clogged. This makes people think that not only does the product not work but it makes it worse. When the honey comb grease chunk breaks off and totally clogs your drain which happened to me, then you have to plunge and it will open the drain. In my case it totally opened the drain and it ran as it were brand new. I knew that my trap was not clogged because we took it off to snake the drain. It did not make sense to me to pour a pint of the enzymes down the drain to have most of it sit in the trap which was not clogged. I wondered if it would be better to immediately add another pint to flush the trap into the drain so it would get to the clog. The manufacturer explained that they have done extensive testing and the pint volume works the best and adding more product does not improve the results. The enzymes and bacteria travel to the food source which is the grease so it does not matter that the product is in the trap, in fact the trap is the best place for the enzymes and bacteria to breed because it has constant water. Every 30 minutes the enzymes and bacteria double in volume. The manufacture told me that if you were going out of town and would not be running any water then just one application would be all you would need because left alone it would continue to multiply every 30 minutes until all it's food source was consumed. If you used a heavy duty drain cleaner like Liquid Fire it only works on the lowest part of the drain because of gravity it can not address the rest of the grease in the pipe. The enzymes and bacteria are not bound by gravity so they consume the grease in the entire pipe. I own rental property and I am going to treat my problem places with Bio-Clean as a preventative maintenance. Bio-Clean does not damage your pipes like drain cleaning chemicals do. We can not use drain cleaners in our 100 year old buildings because the pipes are already deteriorating. Like many products that work lots of people do not use them correctly and say that they do not work. I am convinced that most of the reviews that say this product does not work did not use it properly or give it enough time to work. The manufacture said it could take 10 to 20 applications in extreme cases when the grease has turned acidic because it has sat for so long but he said almost always 10 applications will do even the worst. In my case only 3 applications worked but I will continue for the full 5 as the directions suggest and then do a monthly maintenance dose and it should never clog again. It cost only $.50 per application!

Clean pipes
This stuff works amazing I have used it on all my drains and have did the monthly maintenance and haven’t had any issues at all with clogging up. Sure is a lot cheaper than calling a plumber and it actually works.

Effective and great preventative maintenance!
This has worked miracles for preventing clogs! I even poured it down a kitchen drain that seemed hopelessly clogged and the next morning it had drained. Saved having to call a plumber. I use this in each of my sinks and bath tubs once a month, two days in a row, and haven’t had a clogged line in several years.

No label on container
I ordered this and it arrived with no label or instructions, just an ID sticker on the lid. It looks like the correct product, and I have used this before and am satisfied. I just wish it would have had a label on the container.
