MaedHawk Bypass Motorcycle CarPlay Bluetooth Headset Adapter with Passthrough USB-C Charging Port

My only experience using this is with Apple / iPhones. **** Let's face it, the biggest complaint that I hear from other riders is that motorcycle GPS systems are woefully inadequate and often inaccurate. I know mine could be a LOT better, but I've accepted that the interface is only a platform to use better apps. Unfortunately, CarPlay won't work on our bikes WITHOUT a hand-free connection like a Cardo or SENA device provides. FEAR NOT - this MaedHawk eliminates the "hands-free" demand of those units to give you access to CarPlay on your equipped motorcycle. The MaedHawk is a fraction of the price of a Cardo or SENA headset. It also takes up a fraction of the space - which is always at a premium on motorcycles. **** Your Bike MUST HAVE AN ACTIVE GPS SYSTEM / subscription for this device to work. This is NOT a hardware workaround to a missing software option **** ****Both the male and female end of this device is USB-C, so PLAN ACCORDINGLY FOR ADAPTERS / CABLES to connect it between your bike and phone. Once in place on your bike, it's a simple matter of pairing the device to your bike, then making a physical connection between the phone and MaedHawk. Once complete, you should see CarPlay on your touch screen. This is pretty handy for using that app, Google Maps, Waze, Weather apps - whatever you have installed on your iPhone that you want to access through the touchscreen on your bike. When properly connected, the MaedHawk will also CHARGE your phone while you're using the available apps. You should check that you hear the tone that it's charging when you connect it before your ride. I have had the most success maintaining a connection using USB to USB-C CABLES over ADAPTERS. The cable connections seem more secure and provide some flexibility in storing the MaedHawk and Phone in a compartment in the bike. Adapters seem to work themselves loose from vibration far more often than the cables. This device performs well to solve the connectivity issues of a hands-free requirement to use CarPlay / phone apps on your motorcycle's touch screen.

It tricks my Harley into thinking a wireless headset is connected, which allows me to use Apple CarPlay wirelessly without any issues. One of the most convenient features is the passthrough USB-C charging port. I can keep my phone plugged in and charged during long trips without losing CarPlay functionality, which is a huge plus for all-day rides. Important note: This device does not support phone calls since it doesn’t include a microphone. If you rely on taking or making calls through your headset, you’ll need a separate solution. That said, for music, maps, and general CarPlay use, this adapter is a clean, reliable fix. Highly recommended for Harley riders who want wireless CarPlay without the usual hassle.

It’s a good product that bypasses the headset if you don’t have one. Works about 85% of the time. Sometimes it will connect, but doesn’t recognize the Apple CarPlay features through an iPhone.

Well, I have purchased about 900 items on Amazon and have yet to leave a review. ;-) This is the exception. I purchased a 2025 Harley Street Glide Ultra, with the expectation of having CarPlay ability. Unfortunately, it sucked. I haven't been able to use CarPlay because it doesn't work without being hooked up to a headset on a Helmet, and I live in Arizona and don't wear a helmet most of the time. Pulled into the driveway last night, grabbed my package off the porch, and immediately plugged the MaedHawk Bypass into my bike. WHAM, absolutely immediate iPhone connection with CarPlay. I am absolutely giggling at how easy and inexpensive this fix was. I would highly recommend this to anyone with a new Harley; you definitely won't be disappointed. Of course, why would the world not do this from the start????

Zero star's. This product not only does not bypass the headset to make Apple Carplay work it prohibits the working USB connection. I am disappointed in that I waited for over a month to get this only to learn that it does not at all work. did not work with a 2023.5 RG CVO and same for a 2025 RG CVO. Update on May 05, 2025 - perhaps i received a faulty unit? perhaps I made a mistake the first time around? No matter what the issue I have since received a replacement unit. Works like a charm!!! Customer service with this group was top of top shelf. Chloe was on top of this issue in the most professional and yet personal way one could ask for! Thank you all!!! Keep two wheels down everyone!

paired easy didn't work when first paired. reset factory settings and repaired device worked like a charm on my 2021 goldwing. great option when you live in a state with no helmet law Update worked for only 3 days. Then stopped. It’s not an issue with the product but an issue with the 2018+ gold wings. Figured out I need to un plug the adapter every time I shut the bike off and initiate a sequence to trick the bike to seeing a headset. Turn bike on wait for it to load up. Then plug in adapter to seeing a headset. Then plug phone in. Don’t leave adapter plugged in I guess. Not a huge deal and for $25 I’m still happy with it Update again! Still was having issues connecting to CarPlay. Used a usb A to usb C adapter and put the adapter in the rear left bag and went straight cable upfront. Still saw a headset putting it in the rear bag. seems to be working fine now, comes CarPlay comes back on without even removing my phone from center console. I’ll update again if anything changes.

L’ho installato sulla mia Harley Davidson Road Glide CVO 2025. Ho anche gli interfono che non uso su tutti i caschi. Funziona benissimo anche senza interfono e con il mio iPhone 15 pro max (anche senza cavo) e l’ho installato ad intuito. Ne avevo provati altri e questo è l’unico che sono riuscito a far funzionare.
