Better Than Expected
I'm impressed! This compressor is better than I expected.I looked at compressors in the under $200 category for weeks. I never found a Senco in a store to look over, but I wasn't finding anything else that fit my wants as well as this one, so I ordered it and hoped for the best. As soon as I took it out of the box I could see that the build quality beat all the others I had looked at.1. The frame is powder coated and the finish is as hard as tooth enamel. Many others in this price range had painted frames (and tanks), which would eventually chip and begin to rust.2. The discharge hose (hose from compressor to tank) is covered in braided stainless steel. You could drop an axe on it and you wouldn't compromise the hose. Almost everything else I looked at in the stores had a standard EPDM (rubber) hose with internal textile reinforcement. Drop a knife on that and it would probably nick the hose.3. The regulator body is a machined part. Others use cheap cast aluminum.4. The motor is vibration isolated from the frame. Consequently, this compressor is pretty quiet as compressors go. In addition, it stays put and doesn't walk all over the floor.5. It is perfectly balanced at the handle. When you pick it up, it doesn't rotate to one side.I know that cast aluminum regulator bodies and EPDM hoses are adequate, but it's nice to know that this compressor was built with that extra bit of quality. In addition, it is obvious when using this compressor that it meets or exceeds all of the published specifications.I'm very happy with this purchase.UPDATE 4-23-2014:I just used this compressor in our bathroom remodeling job to power a framing nailer. I was sinking the heads of 3-inch nails below the surface of the wood in two 2 X 6's stacked on top of each other, every time. I could shoot about six nails before the compressor needed to recover, and recovery about 10 - 15 seconds. No problem for a small DIY project. And for the record, my framing nailer is cheap! It's no high-efficiency model at all. Also, dialing in the output pressure is really smooth.I am very pleased with this little workhorse. One of the best purchases I've made in years.

Sweet little compressor
The Senco PC0968 compressor runs smoothly and quietly. The pressure regulator works well allowing the output pressure to be set anywhere from 0 - 135 PSI. It will reach full pressure (starting from 0 PSI) in about 60-90 seconds. Powers my nail gun just fine but because of the rated capacity, rapid fire nailing is limited. I contacted Senco two times with questions about using the regulator valve and they responded within 24 hours of each contact. The manual is not especially clear about how to use the pressure regulator valve. It is possible to turn the valve counter-clockwise (lowering the output pressure) to where the valve can be damaged. Factory tech support advised me to watch the output pressure gauge while adjusting the regulator valve. Once the gauge reaches 0 PSI, the valve should not be turned any further. This is easy and intuitive. One very minor warning to buyers: The soft rubber feet on the bottom of the compressor leave black stains on anything they rest on. Use caution and place some protective material over any surface that would be damaged by a black stain. Fresh concrete or decking comes to mind. Other than that very slight issue, this is a dandy little compressor.

Great little compressor.
Keeps up with my old age roofing…. Easy to carry and pretty quiet. Good little compressor. The money is right too. Would by again but it will probably outlast me.

High quality construction
I purchased this Senco Compressor after reading other positive reviews and I'm not disappointed. The unit is well-constructed and appears to be built to last. The pressure relief valve makes it easy to bleed air and the drain valve is brass and easy to operate. I especially like the quick on-off lever and the pressure limit control. All air fittings work as expected. The unit weighs little enough so that it's easy to transport using the well-balanced handle. Noise is something that all of these small compressors produce but the PC0968 doesn't make too much of it - at least in my subjective opinion.

Senco PC0968
After researching the "smaller" compressors, the pc0968 was a perfect match. Billing was easy, shipping was quick, and the little guy works awesome. When the box came, I thought it was a toy. All around, great little unit. Lightweight, very, very, VERY quiet, super fast to pump up and recover. Haven't tried my framer yet, but I'm sure she will do ok.

Smallest, lightest, quietest compressor that will work a ...
Smallest, lightest, quietest compressor that will work a framing nailer for more than two or three nails. Not suitable for rapid fire nailing, as for example with a coil roofing nailer, but handles small framing jobs and of course finish and brad nailers with no problem, and while it is heavy and loud, it ain't nearly as heavy or loud my Emglo compressor.

3.5 stars
Nice compressor, lightweight but where you plug in air hose is right next to the frame making it a pain in the ass to plug in hose. Compressor is quiet but the plastic shroud vibrates like there's no tomorrow. Good product but could be great.

Descripción engañosa
La descripción es engañosa, dice que el compresor es de 1.5 HP y en realidad es un compresor de 1 HP.

Great product
Awesome compressor. Much lighter than the competitive compressor. I would recommend this compressor to any skilled trades contractor looking for a quality tool.
