Can this be use in camera lens screws, which are mostly plastic housings and metal screws? I am trying to repair my camera lens

I use it for very teeny screws 0-90, etc in metal to metal configurations and I find it gets harder than I like sometimes even though I'm careful to wipe them almost dry. Answer: I would not use on anything plastic especially small threads.
