Not for a traditional American Bbq flavor ..but very good!
This is very nice spice blend ...I really enjoy put this spice in meat dishes that are Caribbean inspired! Does not have a traditional American bbq flavor at all, fyi... will definitely buy again!

Excelente mezcla.
Muy rica mezcla para preparar carne. No es picante, se nota la base de paprika.

Nutmeg... huh?
Not crazy about this. The predominant fragrance is nutmeg. The flavor is also unusually weak. I used it on fish and pork loin so far, and found that this added almost nothing to the inherent flavor of the meat, and the grill / skillet, even though both of those are relatively delicate flavors - especially the cod. Not crazy about this one.Update 11/14/14: Revising down to 1 star. This stuff is just awful. I tried it on pork loin (grilled), nice fresh cod filets (smoked), but then tried to load it up on some stuffed chicken breast and put that in the smoker. It is just awful, just an awful flavor. It's something... but not something good. You can very easily pick up cheap allspice, or nutmeg, but this is simply not in the family of spices called "barbecue" - not in America, not Indian, not Indonesian, not anywhere. It's simply not barbecue spice. It smells like allspice, is nearly flavorless, but if you load up enough to taste it, the taste is kind of sour, just 'off'. I STRONGLY suggest avoiding this if you're looking for actual barbecue spice.I also just tried the McCormick Grill Masters Pork Dry Rub, which is REALLY good. Tastes even better than it smells. I can strongly recommend that. I'm trying others to try and find the best on Amazon (or elsewhere), but for now, out of the half-dozen or so I've tried in the last few months, the Grill Masters Pork Dry Rub is at or near the top, and this Badia is easily, clearly at the bottom - and well below anything else I've tried so far.
