Buy Review: mini pc for 2 months - After two month this mini pc just died. Almost 700 euros and not working after 2 months! Avoid! EDIT: Nice people from Minisforum send me replacement and now everything working just perfectly, as it should. I change my review to 5 star now, this mini PC is real beast in small package. Review: A compact and powerful desktop PC with only minor issues. - I bought the 32Gb 1Tb model. First and formost! It come with Windows 11 Pro, not sure the barebones model has a licence. Noise Level: I only use it for software development purposes and it is silent! Aesthetics: Looks a bit cheap due to plastic chassis. Although it feels weighty due to the large heatsink which helps to keep it quiet. Memory: Adata 32GB 5600Mhz CAS: 46 Hard Drive: Kingston OM8PGP41024Q-A0 3700/2600 (mid-range Gen 3 speeds) Wifi Performance: This is the weak part of the system. I am lucky and have a mesh access point within 5 metres of the device. However when I switch that off and use the main access point which is 2 walls and 10 metres away then the signal is dire! Minisforum really need to include an external antenna for the wifi. Bluetooth: Keyboard and Speakers connected without issue Performance: Very responsive, cannot fault it so far, it is very snappy, no delays in opening apps. appears to work as well as my 7900X desktop.

A laptop in a box.
The build is a low-end laptop in a small desktop case. The system's feature set is designed to provide a cheaper option to Miniforum's higher-cost UM890, but as long as you do not need the extra expansion found in the UM890 this unit will provide a good system. Things to note - To get inside you have to remove the 4 stuck on feet, but only 2 replacements are included in the package. - The device can be powered via the USB 4 port, but the performance is greatly reduced to what you can get out of the device with the supplied power supply. - It shipped with a Win 11 Pro licence. - If you plan to leave it running in a bedroom you will need to tape over the on-off switch, when turned on its state is indicated with a very strong blue light.

Brilliant, quiet, really fast and good value
My first mini PC and it's brilliant. In some ways it's made my bigger, noisy gaming desktop PC redundant. Firstly it's really quiet, great for office work. It's efficient in wattage making it cheap to run for 8 hours a day. You can throw any app at it and it'll handle it. Around 10w idle, and 65w during gaming. It's not a gaming PC, but it can play games and play very well. Check out the YouTube videos. For reference I've tried it with CS2 (100fps) Witcher3(50fps dx11) Helldivers2 (40fps) no problems, on 1080p on low/medium settings. And can go even higher if you turn on quality scaling. Can support 3 monitors at the same time. Overall brilliant, fast, energy efficient, quiet and tiny :)

Avoid due to faults
Couldn't give it 0 stars. This is the second in 2 weeks, replacing one that wouldn't power on at all after 5 days, this time it worked for about the same time but now powers on but won't POST. Return to Amazon started, but as refunds take 14 days, that's over £900 tied up and nothing to show for it. When they did work, they were ideal for me, with slight graphics improvement over my i5-6500/1030 GT but in a much smaller package. Had one of them worked,.they would have got 5 stars. Have now ordered the Bosgame Gaming Mini PC 4.

Fine - if you know what your'e doing
The warning about drivers on the Amazon webpage is not a joke! If you want to update to Windows 11 24H2 (which the PC will try to do automatically) then you will need to go to AMD to update the device first. Minisforum Customer Service seemed to suggest that I might not want to apply 24H2. They wouldn't say what driver was needed - but they did give me the clue that it was at AMD. Not very impressed with CS - maybe it was the language barrier? Once fired up the device has performed very adequately. Might swap out the SSD for a better one.

Stopped working within 10 days
Bought the product as it was an AMD process and looked reasonably priced. Worked well for 10 days and now doesn’t start. I got in touch with product support but no response. Returning it now.

I'm happy with this machine. Very powerful, calm, doesn't get hot.

For the price, the capabilities are insane. We bought two of them and they are amazing.

This is my first gaming PC ever and it's also the main reason I got it. I've been a console gamer my whole life, but I've always wanted to get into PC gaming and could not due to financial issues. When I received a huge unexpected bonus from work, I started researching mini PCs and settled on this one. Since I'm new to gaming PCs, I'm not going to talk about overclocking, temperatures, or any of the technical stuff. However, I will say, that this PC is very quiet when playing graphics intensive games. I'm able to play most of the latest AAA titles like Cyberpunk at 1440p, 60FPS, and max settings (no ray tracing) using FSR. I've even been able to play some titles at 4K and 60FPS with max settings and FSR set to the highest performance setting. Besides gaming, this computer is super fast. I've never owned a PC this fast. I've only ever owned potatoes with integrated graphics that struggle to run indie games at 30FPS which I used only for work, so it's a huge jump coming from those types of PCs to a fast one like the HX77G. It boots in like 15 seconds. Applications open instantly. I got mine with 32GB of RAM and 500GB of disk space, but plan to upgrade to 64GB and 4TB soon. It's been 6 months and the PC has never frozen on me. I'm running Windows 11 with all the drivers up to date. This review is kind of late because I bought it last October 2023. Though I prefer to write reviews after owning things for a while and the honey moon period is over. IMHO, the honey moon period with this PC is STILL not over. It's really that good. I like it so much and I'd definitely buy it again or an upgraded model when I have the money.

Compact, neat and powerful. It cames with a bracket so it is monted on the side of a cupboard at eye-level. Does everything as expected - or better.

Fast in every aspect, boots in seconds, launches games in seconds, high Internet speeds [lan], running all the games thrown at it smoothly, even without turning on amd adrenaline boosts...worth every penny n loving it so far... windows 11 pro is included n initially takes a while to set it up.
