I use this to chip corrosion, rust, riverbed muck and crust (nice) off of metal objects I dredge up whilst magnet fishing so's I don't scratch the treasures. It works great, no moving parts. The best brass shaped stick I have ever purchased...

I bought this for a fuel pump install. It did the job as intended. The fuel pump only lasted two weeks so I got to use it again.

I actually purchased this to clean the grooves of my golf clubs. Because it is brass, it is softer than the face of the club and will scrape out the gunk without carving away metal and changing the groove shape. Perfect “off-label” use.

This is a brand new gasket scraper and in the bag it's all beat up, not a clean edge, dented, not square. Can't use it directly out the bag.

Overall these are great. However, as several others have noted, the tips on the ones I received were chipped.

I ordered the Mayhew Tools 67001 3 Piece Brass Scraper Set and received what looked like possibly used tools, as the cutting edges were a bit ragged. Today I received a replacement set. These chisels are less raggedy, but the cutting edges are again not clean. Evidently the manufacturer is not too picky about finishing. The chisels will work well enough, but you may have to clean them up with a file.

I use this is my EDC pry bar. It is just the right size to work well -- not too big but still a useful tool. The brass does not mar steel, so it is good for weapons and other steel tools.

This brass tool has been a game changer to clean the compensator on my Staccato XC. This thing destroys carbon buildup and the brass is less likely to damage the steel/finish on the XC. I've used it on several other platforms with great success also.
