Alera Folding Rectangular Table, 60 by 30 by 29-Inch

A replacement for an old table of similar design. This was higher quality, a better design, and well packaged. I was impressed.

This is an excellent table, highly recommended. However, I bought 9 and 4 were damaged. Easily returned and replaced. Then the 4 replacements came and one was damaged, which I am again asking to be replaced. Moral of the story: buy this table, but if you need s specific amount immediately, then order extra to account for damaged units. Some arrive scratched and some arrive with missing shipping inserts, and some arrive with the shipping inserts smashed.Amazon should ask the manufacturer to mark this package as FRAGILE, DO NOT DROP ON CORNERS, DO NOT PUNCTURE CARDBOARD. Or, they should add another layer of foam on each side when it is packaged in the factory. The corner shipping inserts smash when the carton is dropped, they need to be more rubbery and bounce. More quality control needs to happen in the factory.Just because the package is undamaged, do not expect it to be a good unit. Don't wait until you need to use the table to open the box. Open it immediately. Don't get angry if the table is damaged, just return it and they pay for shipping. I was quickly credited for the damaged units.Be aware that you need 60" to seat 2 people, possibly longer for some chairs. The legs are not at the very end of the table and the leg support may be in the way of big people. All chairs I wanted to use were 25" to 27" in width. A 48" table will probably only accommodate one chair, 60" accommodated 2 of my chairs and may be good enough for you, or your chairs might need 72" tables for 2 chairs.Be aware of the height of your chairs, some chairs may not fit under the table. My chairs are adjustable and fit fine. Someone pushing a chair in might overturn the table even though it weighs about 35 lbs and is very sturdy. I think I read someplace that it holds 550 lbs evenly distributed, much better than the molded plastic tables I looked at.Enjoy! I love my tables!

As always, these tables are fabulous.I use them for desks and like to stack one on top of the other. Currently I have one of my five-foot long desks on the top. It gives me extra shelf space. I can also use the supports as hangers, such as for my headphones or a monitor.For this particular one (6ft x 18in), I'm a little disappointed that the supports go so far in from the sides because I was hoping for plenty of leg room (the five foot 30-in one has the supports flush against the sides). However, it's understandable that the supports need to be a little more central for stability.The only problem I've ever had is that the 18-in tables sometimes tip a little when pushed. This is resolved by putting heavy things on it - like another table.I have never once been disappointed in an Alera folding table. I just wish they had more size options.

Bought this table thinking it was a good value. It is, but the factory handling of the table is not good.The surface of the table is marked when something struck the table. Usually it is an operator rushing or the table falling (former plant engineer here).The box had no damage, but the table is fine... surface mark aside. This will be a computer table / desk in the near future.The table is sturdy and supports a lot of weight. No wobble, its pretty enen on the top, no major sagging, no bumps or issues around the perimeter.Overall, would be a good value if it was not damaged.

Purchased a similar table for less money (ASIN B00QHPAXGS) and we returned it within 60 seconds of opening the box.This table here is excellent and a great value. The table comes expertly packaged with hard plastic corner protectors. Upon opening the box, the table is surrounded by Styrofoam protecting it further. Open the legs and the table sits level and the surface is without any imperfections.

I love this table. There’s a small damage from shopping but I’m not worried about it because it’s on one edge.I’m getting another one

I thought it was real solid wood -- but oh well... at least it looks like wood and matches with my decor. Perfect narrow for my tiny studio apartment while I telework for paperwork. Was going nuts without room to put papers and this does its job. Nice it can be folded and put away in a closet when I don't need to use it. I wished the height could be adjustable though. Sturdy.

Table came a bit banged up with some damage in one corner, but not enough to bother sending it back given the size and weight. I'll just put that corner against the wall. Other than that it's a pretty solid table that gets the job done. I'm glad someone makes one this size - took me a while to find one that wasn't 36" deep.
