I had to cut a hole in my basement ceiling. It is 50-year old tongue and groove fiber tiles. I needed to replace an outdoor hose spigot and install a new valve. Upon completion, I really did not want to work myself to death trying to replace the tongue and groove fiber tile. This access panel was perfect. I did not have to worry about the precision of the size of the hole in the ceiling, how it looked, or much else. The panel also makes it extremely easy to get to my new valve for when it's time to winterize. The end result is wonderful! If you aren't looking for it, you would not notice it. The instruction sheet says not to install in ceilings. I consulted AI on this, and it indicated that it is ok in my basement ceiling scenario.

Worked as described

The product is great. It's solid, no warping, looks good, fits snugly and securely, and installed in seconds. It fit an odd-sized hole without me needing to cut more wall out; a big plus. The plastic seems strong, thankfully, because the packaging offers little protection. It ships in the typical flimsy cardboard but has no foam or other crush protection for the plastic tabs. The spring-loaded tab on mine was poking though the side of the box, but was not bent or broke. I was sure I was going to have to do a replacement when I saw the box! 5 stars on the product, but if you have the option for Amazon to ship in a different box, DO IT!

looks good, easy install

Plumber had to cut into my drywall to access my water line. I didn’t want to attempt a drywall if it needed access again. I also didn’t want to cut it more to fit all the standard shapes of access panels. So I got two of these to stack and I think it looks pretty good! Easy to install and they are sturdy, not thin flimsy plastic. I would recommend for affordable home wall repair.

I’ve never heard of this before but I’ve had multiple plumbing issues in an old house and once you break the ceiling it’s a good idea to cover w over sheetrock and plaster

This is pretty good for what I need it for. I'm using this to cover my kitchen ceiling because of a 11x11 hole from recent plumbing repair. This panel blends in well with my ceiling, is much cheaper than other alternatives, and allows inspection of pipes in the ceiling.

Had a irregular size cutout. This worked perfectly to cover it up and fit nicely. It looks good on the wall. Recommended.
