Contender 1.5 Boxing Gloves

They're really pretty nice, and tough. The color I wanted was twice the price, so I went with gray and black. I went with 14 oz, because 12 doesn't protect my knuckles as much, and 16 is a bit much for bag work.

The quality of these gloves are unreal for the price you’re getting them. As a seasoned fighter I’ve fought with gloves from multiple brands include rival, RDX and Venum. They are extremely comfortable to wear and feel like a perfect fit. The padding provides great sparring with no headgear and makes the bag feel like I’m punching pillows. They are extremely easy to put on and take off, if you tighten them properly you can just slide them on and off. They do exactly as they are meant to for boxing gloves and function just as you’d expect strapped gloves to work. They come with a decent carrying bag that is made of plastic and tore a little easy but is still usable and maintained its overall appearance. I don’t recommend a brand other than Venum especially if you’re taking boxing seriously.

Good for the price, can't really beat this in terms of super cheap but durable gloves. It might tear after a year of heavy use and it's nothing like real leather, but I did my research and there isn't a better glove at the same price point.

The Boxing gloves are fabulous, quality, color all make up the quality of this glove.

For 6 days out of the week was pretty good on a bag for 4 months. Didn’t expect any more from them for this price, so I would say really good! Note: wouldn’t recommend them for pads work, padding wears out pretty quickly but for bag yeah! Specially if you get you first pair.

Die Contender 1.5 XT Boxhandschuhe sind insgesamt gut verarbeitet. Die Materialien machen einen soliden Eindruck und die Nähte wirken sauber und stabil. Beim Anziehen sitzen die Handschuhe gut an der Hand, das Innengefühl ist angenehm und nichts drückt oder scheuert. Positiv ist der Halt am Handgelenk. Durch die Verarbeitung knickt man nicht so leicht um, was beim Training ein gutes Gefühl gibt. Für mich eignen sich diese Handschuhe allerdings eher für Sandsack- und Pratzentraining. Für Sparring empfinde ich sie als zu hart, weshalb sie meiner Meinung nach dafür weniger geeignet sind. Wer regelmäßig Sparring macht, sollte sich dafür lieber ein anderes Modell holen. Als Alternative kann man zum Beispiel die Venum Elite in Betracht ziehen, die preislich im Rahmen liegen und fürs Sparring besser geeignet sind. Fazit: Gute, stabile Handschuhe für Sandsack und Pratzen, fürs Sparring jedoch nur eingeschränkt zu empfehlen.
