It has sulfate! Shouldn't you use shampoos with this ingredient?

Shampoo wouldn't hurt. I would recommend that.

Is this a texturizer?

No it’s just a normal shampoo. Smells pretty good, gets rid of buildup fairly easily, and doesn’t leave your hair too dry. However, I’s highly recommend applying a good light pomade after for best results.

how often should you use this shampoo ?

Use as often as needed. Look at your hair and see when it starts looking like wave holding product is building up in your hair and then wash with this shampoo to clean the product out.

Should I use before or after regular shampoo

It would probably be better after. I have used both at the same time. Got good results everytime. For best results make sure you get the wave Tex kit and put it in.
