I really do like this knife block.
I really do like this knife block. It certainly has a lot going for it, but at over $300.00 there are some issues. I’m not the first to ask about updating the magnet locations. The builders reply simply does not hold water. It can’t be done because they say it can’t be done - nonsense! My 2nd concern is build quality. The glue up joints on the bottom are misaligned, most noticeable in height. Yes this telegraphs to the outside but thankfully it is not obvious without a deliberate look. Lastly, the cork piece on the bottom of the base actually looks like it came out of a kids workshop at HomeDepot, which is to say ugly. With that out if the way, there are many indicators that a quality product is the manufacturers goal. The design is first rate and very pleasing to the eye and I suspect the build quality will continue to improve. How well it blends into our kitchen will have to wait for mother’s day. I only took an initial look.I originally started to order this from a another site with better pricing and suddenly Amazons price came down. Now it’s back up way to high. Amazon if you listening you won’t get a second purchase on this item playing that game!I’m eagerly awaiting mother’s day fully expecting my wife to be thrilled with this gift. There will be no need to revise my review on actual use since every conceivable experience has already been addressed in the existing reviews of others.Lastly, thank you Design Trifecta for keeping the manufacturing of this product in the USA.5/14/18 Update: Now have two. Initial quality very good if you don’t turn it over and look at bottom. With many traditional knife blocks available with 30 slots, these can’t keep up. However with one on kitchen island behind a walnut end grain cutting board I just completed, it works and looks very well. The second just squeezes under kitchen cabinets. This works because only front knife has to clear cabinet above so all are easily in reach by rotating the 360.

Fantastic Way to Keep Your Knives At Your Fingertips
We found this knife block while watching America’s Test Kitchen. We had been storing all of our knives in a drawer. All of our knives and fingers were protected by inexpensive plastic sheaths. Now we have this innovatively designed knife block. It is a wonderful convenience to have all of our knives arranged like this when we are doing prep work on a dish that requires a lot of ingredients. I spoke to the owners of this small mom and pop business and found them to be hard working and very eager to please their customers. Yes, this is an expensive product but it is worth every penny. You won’t be disappointed.

Slots
I really like the block but was REALLY disappointed when I see the new version has slots on the top. I would exchange it if you allowed but I don't see that happening

Exactly What I Needed!
I didn't want the traditional knife block due to them being mostly unsanitary. I also didn't want to screw a magnetic knife rack onto my tiled backsplash. I searched and searched and found this magnetic knife block. I was hesitant about the price, but since getting it, I find that it is worth it! This block is sturdy and isn't going anywhere. It holds all my knives securely and nothing moves. I worried about reviews that said knives would tilt due to the magnets being in a T shaped patter, but I haven't had that issue. There is a line of magnets down the center of each side for the longer knives and a short row of magents on each side of that for shorter knives. If you realize this while placing your long and short knives, they will sit perfectly straght. I got the walnut color and not only is it the best storage for my expensive knives, but it's a pretty decorative piece on my counter as well!

A Work of Art
This is hands-down, the best knife block ever produced. It is truly a work of art- like a piece of culinary furniture that can really show off your prized knives. Plus, it's safe: The weight will keep it stable and will not tip over when you pull a large knife off of it. It's the perfect blend of functionality and of beauty. Honestly, I can't think of one thing negative about it. Way better than any of those other cheap, Chinese-made knife blocks that are mass-produced. You can really tell the craftsmanship and US-made care that this beautiful art-work has. Love it so much that I bought another one. Perfect if you want to protect and display your knives.

Safest most convenient knife block on the market!!!
The media could not be loaded. Absolutely love this knife block! It is safe for my knives, looks beautiful, and is very convenient as I used to keep them in a knife bag/roll and would cut myself taking them out and in! When you have beautiful knives that you have spent a lot of money on~you must take care of them! The craftsmanship is excellent and you get to pick the wood to match your kitchen!Plus it was packaged so safe and arrived way ahead of schedule!I have nothing negative to say about this product and highly recommend it!Well worth every dollar!

Really nice knife block!!
Ok this thing is awesome. I had the knife holder with he plastic sticks in it and it only lasted about a year or so before the sticks got bent and cut. I have several large knives and I think that was the problem with the plastic one, the smaller knives fit fine, but the larger ones just didn't fit well. This awesome knife holder takes up less space and and holds one knife per side, you can get two small knives on the side though they may not hang straight. The magnets are very strong and hold my largest and heaviest knives just fine. It spins to get to whatever knife you want, and you can see each knife to see which one you are grabbing(if you have the same handles in a normal knife block you never know which one you are grabbing). It looks beautiful. The only down falls I can see are the price, and if you have small children and the knife block is close to the edge of a counter the blades are out and can be touched. The wood and build are impeccable on this knife block. It is very heavy, and well built.

Worth the price!
This is the best knife block I’ve ever owned. It seemed pricey but if you have quality knives, it’s well worth the cost. Knives are easily accessed as the block itself is heavy and spins without any resistance. Love it!
